I think Bomber at MLG? Anyway I've never seen it done to that extent, very impressive since it seemed DRG made a broodlord switch at one point just to kill those stupid siege tanks on the high ground. no mc puma was NOT better. this is DEFINITELY the best series ever, and the last game was the BEST starcraft 2 match ever.
That final game truely showed TvZ in all it's glory.

So... back in Anaheim, MMA wanted to play DRG to settle the score. (They were 1 game each after GTSL)...
5 Months later... they are now at 7 : 7 wins/losses over each other. (In terms of games in tournaments)...
(I just found that amusing, and it kinda fits with how the series turned out imo)

just saw this now, shed a tear at the end. my god

How long has it been now since a protoss made it into a code S or other top Korean tournament final?
|
I am trying to buy the tickets for this, but I don't know which one to click. Does the regular "Season" ticket for 9.99 with Ads include Blizzard cup?

Going back through the year, there was a PvP finals in Code A July between Puzzle and Tassadar, InCa got 4-0'd in Code S May finals, and MC won Code S March. That's it for 2011, I think.

Game 7 = EPICNESS!!

Just finished watching it and the last game was probably the best SC2 I have ever seen. Strangely, what made it great was the mistakes by both sides, DRG losing both of those hatches to drops and small marine groups, MMA not switching to Ghosts for the entire game etc...But I don't care, if perfect play means boring matches, I'd take less than optimal play with more mistakes so that we can watch epic games such as this!
I have not watched enough BW finals yet but Jangi v. Fantasy OSL Finals and probably BeSt v. Flash in Proleague Finals 2011 made me feel like this too. As for SC2, I've been watching for over a year now and so far, before these series, perhaps Bomber v. Idra were exciting too, but nothing else comes to my mind from SC2. This series was THE BEST. The crowd liked it too! Tastosis were also super excited, it was great to see.
TvZ is the best matchup of SC2. Anything involving P is terrible to watch in my opinion, because of how it is designed. Someone else have said it before but due to warpgates, the gateway units aren't as strong, and head on against the armies of T and P, they are terrible, so the Colossus were made really strong which again promotes my balls v. yours action. It is just BORING. If Blizzard wants to do something REALLY good with SC2, they remove Colossus in HOTS, make Hydra more viable in midgame, add in Reaver (perhaps a weaker one, but just the concept!) for harrassment and firepower, remove warpgates altogether, and buff up the gateway units. With the Warhound and the Battle Hellion, I just hope Mech will take hold in TvP and maybe we can have quality play there too except bio compositions.

I thought I was going to pass out so many times after just watching that game. I'm so glad I was able to stay away from spoilers, because I had no idea who the hell was going to win.

The comeback by DRG from 0-3 was SO awesome, such a great concluding game as well. That was so satisfying to watch.

A long time, but a recent MLG article showed that they still progressed a lot since the patch. Tomorrow Huk should lose if I interpreted his twit correctly (he went partying with Slayers and went to sleep in the morning, 24 hours before his matches :D)

Watch the games of Hero or MC or other top players, they don't play colossus-build anymore. Warpgate units are more and more used thanks to upgrades buff and prism buff.
According to anybody, the last best games before these incredible games were MC vs Puma, because it was a micro war (stalker blink/HT vs bioball/ghost) and multitask war (MC defending Puma's drop).
