1. Naniwa
2. Leenock

I keep thinking Huk got a spot from winning Orlando

May you enlighten me what "current results" naniwa has to put him above Leenock?

If Naniwa beats Leenock he might very well go 4-0. Else I think it will be a 1-3 or 0-4, with him taking a game of either of the terrans.

If Naniwa wins even one game, it would definitely be considered an upset. Polt may not look good, but he still has one of the highest TvP winrates in Korea and consistently makes good runs in GSL, including many wins over MMA on several occasions. He's definitely not good enough to take out Leenock or Nestea.

How would that be an upset? I'm not following your logic at all.

...Naniwa has shown he can beat some really good players. Based on previous results (and not counting the fiasco that was MLG jesus who the hell FFEs a million times in a row??) Polt might be the only one that can beat him. Of course, Nestea and Leenock do have the capability to destroy him as well, but im 100% favoring Polt against Naniwa.

Yeah I'm starting to think the best way to get games (esp when u pit the best of the best against each other) is to have the traditional tourny format where they can prepare, and not play spontaneously like this. We often see more good games in GSTL cus of the spontaneous thing forcing players to improvise more and use their arsenal of strategies and knowledge than 1 thing prepared, but I think that only applies to the non top players xD

I think it's more so that everyone in this tournament has a very well known style and certain builds were tailored to it.

this group's ridiculously unpredictable

I don't really expect much from nani or leenock though

tbh after leenock's crushing defeat at the hands of jjakji i really dont know if he's mentally strong enough to go far, he's just too young still

seasoned players like MMA, Nestea and polt will do well, although I still think polt's a wildcard

PvZ is his worst matchup

LOL owned. yes, naniwa does terribly against all zergs out there except for those named NesTea. and FYI, Polts TvP is on the level of MMA's TvZ.

There's no way nani wins belshire beach PvZ, but I think he can take the two terrans with the maps he landed.
Cross positions Antiga is pretty zerg biased, but Nestea hasn't exactly been impressive lately, so it's a toss up

I'm guessing he goes 2-2 and doesn't qualify, or 3 - 1

It's so hard to call these groups because of bo1 but i can see Naniwa take it if he plays a bit safe. Both Polt & Leenock are rather known for really aggresive vP. And if he just thinks he can FFE/1gExpo through a group played in bo1 he might actually be abit insane

That's why he will win against MMA and Nestea, clinching the 2nd spot.
