How can you both be from the US and say that? That wouldn't happen in any of the four major sports in the US.

I understand, naniwa only cares about winning, he doesnt play to appease his fans, and there's nothing wrong with that. gom probably forced him to play the match even though there was no reason to.

I mean, on a certain scale, what is the difference between that game and the Blizzcon final between Nestea and MVP? Nani should be fined for that. Doesn't matter if you don't wanna play this game you get payed to play Starcraft II by your teams and there are people who pay money for this. In normal sports people don't throw games either even if they don't matter. You owe it to other people to at least make an effort .

Why everyone on tilt, he tried a cheese and it failed, accept it, both Nestea and nani didnt want to sitt there play a useless match, they are pro's and want to win...

It is entertaining to watch when it is mixed in there, I don't get the whining.
Also, I aren't a fan of the 2 rax opening in TvZ and I think Leenock just showed exactly why... Yeah, seriously. Isn't leenock known as being one of the more cheesier zergs anyway? That's why he's so successful. He's relentless. Smells blood, goes for the kill. But also can play a incredible macro game. You which SC1 player is known for doing that?
Yeah man, whenever he "cheeses" he does it because he scouted a risky econ build, or--if he does it blindly--knows a player is very likely to be weak to early aggression.
The biggest flaw I think Leenock has is his late-game T3 unit control and general late-game decisions, but that's more OK with Zerg than Terran or Protoss, because prolonged Zerg late-game is awful unless the opponent is severely behind from the early or mid-game.

agree with you. gom is not dumb enough to play this format in GSL. after 2 losses the player is automatically out in group. i assume gom did this just for the fans to watch best of the best players. but what did nani do???

DAT PROBE MICRO. but seriously, that was absolutely gutless.

Stephano wasn't casted buddy; nothing similar here.
So it's okay if you don't casted?

This is fucking retarded, thanks Nani. Way to respect the viewers, let alone the hard working people next to you that work their ass off for this.

Huge respect for Naniwa, why make the players play a game in shame when they lost? Naniwa fighting the system!

It sounds like some of you want robots to play sc2. This is a classic moment and all you guys can bitch about is some ridiculous moral outrage at perceived poor sportsmanship. Nani's said it a million times, he plays to win. The game was inconsequential and Naniwa I assume felt no reason to play it out, especially considering he was probably tilting. I love the guy for being such a badass and wish all these others posters would enjoy the moment rather than finding a way to whine.

what a great way to show his new team he really cares lol

Not really hard to understand nanis decision tbh Fan Service. If that game wasn't played, people would be complaining anyways. Its pretty normal that games that dont matter arent played. They didnt do it back in the old GSL up and down match system either, why are they doing it now? Lets put it this way. The indianapolis colts are 0-13 this season. They have an almost 0% chance of winning their next 3 games (last one could happen) and have absolutely nothing to play for at all. If anything they have something to gain by losing (drafting andrew luck). Yet they are required and EXPECTED to play as hard as they can to win. And they will. Because they are a professional team. Yes I can understand why Nani did what he did. But it is extremely unprofessional of him. I had been quite impressed by his play in this tournament and wasn't turned off by his BM at MLG, I thought that was okay. This? I hope he loses all his Code S games and goes straight to Code B now, he deserves it.
Said it better than I ever could, thank you!

I think this is much worse than Coca incident, and Naniwa should be banned from GSL.
