you don`t know how many koreans they invited yet, they only published HerO. Why are people always so impatiant and demanding? It`s Take`s tourney and when he only wants to invite one korean, which i doubt, then it`s his choice (and consider it`s a european tourney). Maybe he asked Puma and the team or Puma declined the invitation, we don`t know. So there is also the teams, that have to pay the flight, hotel etc. for their players and when they don`t want to assume the costs, it`s not Take`s business.

Take said that they invited more koreans than "just" hero, at least one more I guess, and there will be more coming because of the qualifier where we have some nice players competing.

Although we all know that everyone will give it their best. I'd rather see more Europeans with a much more casual attitude than 20 Koreans with the attitude to win and concentrate 100% on the win.
This setup just screams Incontrol and Destiny. The players should mainly enjoy themselves in this one.
That's why I personally think that the date for the tourney is soooo great, because most players are taking breaks right now and spend time with their families and not with starcraft 24/7.
Edit: A little suprised ClouD isnt invited. As he lives so close and is actually part of Team aTn, but I guess Take just counts on ClouD qualifying so that he can save money for the trip to the flat (would prolly cost him 1,80 for the bus or something).

I'm pretty sure PuMa is among the remaining players to be announced. Take wouldn't invite HerO without PuMa

I think ClouD is going to be home in Italy and that's why. Otherwise I would be a 100% sure he be there.

Because this is Homestory Cup, neither MLG nor Dreamhack or another random tournament. i don't know what you're expecting but i want to see players interact and communicate and have a nice time and not 10 koreans sitting all the time in front of the computer (or sleeping the most part like MC) because they can hardly interact with the europeans/americans.
If you really want to see MVP, Nestea, MMA and so on just watch GSL which takes part every month. But this is HSC and so i beg for you to keep it special and don't flood it with koreans. Some koreans are fine and also entertaining but overall Homestorycup is for me a tournament where local player battle it out. Because it takes part in Germany "local" for me means in this case Europeans.
I know, I’m not saying that they should invite mainly Koreans, I just saw a list of about 20 invited players though, and only HerO was on that list. Maybe they’re expecting that the qualified players will be mainly Koreans. Or like other people have said, maybe they’re going to end up inviting more later. I don’t know, I was just hoping that this year they would have a little more Korean participation.

Yea I know it’s his tournament and he can make whatever choices he wants. I don’t think I should be called impatient or demanding if I politely ask about those choices. I didn’t say anything negative about the tournament. If it’s because of the expense of flying people out of Korea, or the language barrier, then that’s cool. But still, why is it such a big deal that I ask about their choice in invitations? I want the tournament to be as successful as it can be, so I don’t feel bad about expressing my opinion if I do it in an appropriate way.
Edit:
I'm pretty sure PuMa is among the remaining players to be announced. Take wouldn't invite HerO without PuMa
That's awesome, the other reason I wanted Puma is because there aren't that many Terran. Puma would be a strong Terran to make up for the racial imbalance, if there does end up being one. I think Puma would make it pretty far.

"I will visit HSC then I will do one month therapy" - ClouD (SOURCE)
Actually sounded to me like he was pretty sure he was gonna attend HSC. I would like him to be ther very much.

Thats another Thing "because there aren`t that many Terrans", so Puma would be a good choice. You just assume that it will be a race imbalance, but we only get 6 names, that will be there for sure. But the tourney consists of 32 players.

I'm going by Neocron's list on the page before this one, but I guess I don't know if that's accurate. You don't think so?

Why should i go with that list. As long as there is not an official news on taketv.net or another post on teamliquid by Take himself, i think it`s unnecessary to comment the players selection or to make certain assumptions but thats just me. And if the list is totally correct, it`s only 15 players. Since the other cups Take hosted were pretty balanced in terms of races, i wouldn`t be concerned.

I hope that Nerchio will get invited. He was awesome in Scan Invitational.

Rotterdams signed up as one of the players for the invitational?
Even if he loses won't he show up anyway?
|
There are at least 4 koreans attending HSC IV, maybe 5. I think thats a good number for HSC.

ye, he will cast the event^^
I dont think he has realistic chances to make it and he knows it, so why dont have a fun time in the qualifier And its not like it would be impossible to cast AND play and this event on the same day!
