Group A - ThorZaIN, Nerchio - Socke has a chance to "upset" but I doubt it
Group B - MarineKing, Violet - The obvious two favourites, but HasuObs can take games off of anyone
Group C - DIMAGA, KawaiiRice - Dimaga should advance very easily, then it's all up for grabs.
Group D - MC, WhiteRa - I think this one comes down to how well Cloud plays
Group E - JYP, DarkForce - Bling has gotten a lot of hype from his WCG run, but his tournaments following that have not been as good as DarkForce
Group F - Hero, Naama - Just like Bling, Haypro gets a lot of hype from beating Nestea. IMO, these are the best players in that group though.
Group G - Stephano, Sound - Nightend might advance over Sound, but I'll always bet on the Korean
Group H - Ret, Grubby - Pretty simple group

Nerchio has a negative record against Socke and looked really shaky against White-Ra yesterday :/. If someone is favored in this group it is ThorZain. Group A and B are probably the most exciting with one weaker player and three guys, who could probably win the whole thing.

Otherwise, I agree with your predictions.

Yeah, that's why I put upset in quotations. I just haven't seen a lot from Socke in tournaments lately.

Stephano should take it over Sound, as he performed well in the Qualifiers, but playing offline in a european tournament is a differnet story for an unexperienced player like him. NightEnD over Delphi as i see him as the stronger player, he could even upset Sound.

I really don't know about sound. While you raise a very valid point about european lan as opposed to korean online, did you see the guys he ran through on the way to qualifying?!?!?!? Jinro, gumiho, lucky, asd, heart, and revival. Jinro's tvt aside, they're all incredible guys and he did pretty well.

He's certainly a dark horse for this tourney. Other than that agree with all your predictions (though think naama will qualify because he's always jammy like that)
By.Sun or By.Rain, he always delivers

A shame DeMuslim can't make it. Ah well, still have Bling there to represent UK! I wouldn't be surprised to see him take down his group.

You must put a lot of faith into Incontrol or something ... Socke and Nerchio are top tier in Europe.

Nerchio and Socke are both far superior to iNcontroL, Socke might even come above ThorZaiN in the group as he is extremely good but people always forget about him for some reason.

If Incontrol takes more than 2 maps overall or wins a series i'm gonna really surprised.
But he's still a lot of potential as caster.
Nonetheless i think we're up to some surprises.

Yeah, I don't want to bash Incontrol but him taking more than a single map in this group would but be quite a surprise to me.

I'd be surprised if incontrol avoids getting shut out completely. Unless he get's a lot of money on the side, he should really focus on another path in gaming. His casting abilities are actually top notch and could potentially rival any caster.

I agree. I like InC and I wish him the best, but others in this group are way better than him.

edit: It sucks he got stuck in a tough group. But then, they're all sort of difficult.

There's a lot of players with worse results than Incontrol on every team and nobody is saying that they should quit progaming because they are not doing well in tournaments. People just give him too much shit when he does bad because he is very famous and very outspoken in the community.

Probably will always be a team willing to pay Incontrol to play starcraft so i don't see why he should focus on another path.

Most of those "worse" players still show some potential and don't have the resources that iNcontroL has available such as a team house, huge salary and ability to attend any event and practice anywhere he wants whenever.
