The irony is that these guys that Slayers sent out are completely mediocre even by foreigner standards and don't do anything that any player on Dignitas roster can't do just as well. But they take it fucking seriously and they prepare if they're scheduled to play for they team.
Whereas Dignitas players and many others that have been sent out against Slayers in the IPL team events seem to be taking it like its a ladder game or something.
Very disappointing attitude. If you're not going to take the competition seriously and have your players actually prepare for it, don't join the tournament.
Just shut up seriously. You don't have any information to make judgements like this, nor do you have any right to assume how much each of us in dignitas prepared for our games. Each one of our players takes all games they play seriously and it's not something we look at and go "meh". I understand that us forfeiting the 5th game was disappointing and I can't do more than apologize for that but don't spew bullshit like this without any information whatsoever. I don't get the attack on our attitude really, given the situation we were in, we did the best we could've done with what we had to work with at that time. Now I understand it's disappointing that SeleCT and SjoW didn't play, but you don't know the background about how we were approached about the tournament, how much prior notice we were given, and how much time we had to work with after being told that we were playing. So just stop.
Ok your right we don't know what factors might of taken a part of this but if they really were so extreme why accept the invite in the first place. No one made you sign up for this Tournament and frankly there were other teams that could of taken the spot. Signing up for a tournament then saying we didn't have time too prepare and have five guys ready to fight so we forfeited is unacceptable. You can't commit than don't and just accept the tournaments were you can atleast have the required amount of guys compete.
This probably sounds rather harsh but for a tournament like this to have a chance of repeating they need to do well in veiwership and nothing kills that more than a forfeit. It was your duty as a signed up team to send some one any one in there even if it was to lose. even a disappointing ending like that is way better than a forfeit.

I don't think any of us that aren't pros, and aren't privy to what was going on behind the scenes, are in a position to make judgement's on Dignitas. I mean, how many of you really think they WANTED to forfeit?
Maybe the next player up had a bout of diarrhea or something. Yeah, that's meant to be kind of funny and contrived, but who the hell are we to judge or know?
I've never seen Dignitas take anything "not seriously" or make a decision like this just off the cuff. Obviously something happened, and I think we owe them the benefit of the doubt that they had a fifth player lined up and something changed very last minute.

Completely right. If the Dignitas team could not physically play all games, they should have let the organizers know and cancel beforehand, NOT go halfway and skip the last game. I don't care how much prior notice you were give or how much time you had to work with, as an organized team there is no excuse for not having your players ready to play games. Your team deserves all the attacks it is taking right now, especially given that you try to pass of its actions as legitimate.
Bottom line, don't take an invitation you can't fulfill. Basic kindergarten promise keeping.

I actually usually don't care about team-leagues, but winners format makes everything feel so freakin epic.
I'll be definitely tuning in as much as i can.

It seems the games were played months ago, way before they broke up.

So much content from IPL, really enjoying this. Can't wait to see Dignitas vs Millenium.

As we've said repeatedly, this is not true, they are just still honoring their agreement with us.

Will replays be available?

I think the format and the excitement was through the roof, a very enjoyable event and I really hope it comes back.
However, I do not think that partner teams should sign up as one team. As it basically makes it two against one for those without a partner. Not to mention that in no other sport does partner teams ever play as one team.
It is also kinda silly when you see a team called ColMVP and there isn't a single Col player to be seen participating.
