The way everyone stood up and started applauding in the end was somehow reminiscent of Third Reich and Nazi Germany. Pretty powerful scene with thousands of blond people clapping to lanky Asian dude. One can probably make a book out of this.

The fighting game community was sort of misrepresented during the finals. All the SC2 streamers assumed that the tournament was suppose to be a major one but not a single top American or Japanese player was there. It was a major one in the sense that a lot of top Europeans were there but like SC2, there's not that many top Europeans. The commentary wasn't amazing either. The fighting game community has their own set of Tastosis and Day9 but as I said, this tournament wasn't major enough for any of them to go.

The biggest fighting game tournament, EVO, had 90k viewers at one point and thousands of players in the tournament. It was also during the same time as one of the MLGs.

I loved how they would transition into the caster couch in between the downtime for the finals after Tasteless and Artosis already gave thier opinion on the previous game. Much better than having to force them to think of unscripted banter while the players get ready and also allows the other casters to mention things they might have forgot.

Much better seating than at MLG Providence. Standing for 2 days while people save the few seats that were there = sore legs, back & attitude. Dream Hack also lets you see the casters. Ideas for MLG?

when hero and pumba walked through the crowd and high fived everyone to the music, it felt like proleauge finals for half a second

If you're going to try and bash europeans, atleast bash them for something that is true. It's a fact that the european ladder is the strongest ladder after the korean ladder by far and 80% of the top foreigners are european.
