Its extremely difficult to keep going with what you were doing after a pause interrupting the middle of a match. Street Fighter comes down to frames, not seconds, or minutes. The interruption itself is devastating. Its not acceptable to just un-pause and keep going as if the match were still on a level playing field. The only fair rule is that the pausing player forfeits the round, otherwise you open a large grey area for abuse/cheating.
