It must be so badass if someone chooses some random character who nobody plays! Every character is viable but there are tier lists in fighting games. People acknowledge that fighting games aren't completely balanced. Both Yun and Akuma are top tier although Yun is higher.

For E-sports to succeed, you need to support more than just Starcraft. Or else It's just Starcraft 2, not E-sports. which is why i hate the term esports as far as im concerned, starcraft 2 is not a esport, its a sport. a sport is just a competition. pro chess and poker are sports/competitions and so is starcraft 2 to me as far as im concerned esports can go die and im proud im hurting it. starcraft 2 on the other hand can live and keep entertaining me as my favorite sport

It must be so badass if someone chooses some random character who nobody plays! There are really no "standard" characters but there are tier lists, Akuma and Yun are high up there, but there are very few top Akuma players, the thing about this tournament is there is only 3 "good players" with infiltration easily being the best. It's a smaller tournament so it was quite predictable sadly. But yeah at some other tournaments people bring in some unexpected strategies by playing a character who the opponent wasn't expecting because they found some "tech" to help them counter a certain point of the matchup.

They game does have a lot of balance changes, but not a lot as of recent. Some are clearly slightly slightly better than others, but other characters could be competitive. The Korean Poonko (sp?) almost took Evo 2011 with just Seth, which is considered underpowered.

These commentators are pointless, you cant hear what they are saying, nor understand what they are saying. There doesnt even seem to be anything to commentate ON. They should have their own stream. Hmm you tuned in to the dreamhackTV2 stream. I don't think it was mentioned anywhere that it was a dedicated SC2 stream, was it?

Yun for exemple is considered way more OP than Akuma thanks to his divekicks/safe moves
