Please stop the tournament comparison discussion. Especially regarding players their runs (Stephano seems to be the current topic). Stay on topic and stick to the games. Consequences will be met out to further derailment.
In addition leave the usual out of this topic:
-Balance complaints -Map complaints -Stream complaints -Caster/player bashing -Off topic discussions
Logically continue this list with things that are obviously frowned upon. Enjoy the free and wonderful event with loads of games and coverage! |
I feel like the large number of tosses on ro16 was caused by the fact that I think the protoss lineup in this tournament was stronger than that for the other races.
I think there are only 3 really strong terrans (Puma, Thorzain, Select) in this tournament, and 2 of them are already out.
For zerg, there are DRG, Idra who had a disappointing run, Sen who got eliminated due to hard group, Sheth, Stephano who flopped and Ret.
For P, there are already 4 GSL quality players (HerO, HuK, Naniwa, Genius). Then there is the very impressive SaSe, WhiteRa who got relatively easy groups, ToD, and Mana. Additionally Nightend and Seiplo got in due to a surpirsingly good run in the tournament.
Anyway, I am so hyped for the tournament ^^ SaSe fighting!

Because, maybe, unlike what every whining kid on the internet thinks, terran actually isn't the easiest race? Shocking, I know. But they have mules! And we also have scan - my favorite argument is when people simultaneously complain about scan and mules without considering that if you scan you dont have a mule -- That's how P feels when T tells us that we can both chrono-boost probes to keep up with mules and chrono-boost double forge upgrades When protoss players stop sitting with full energy nexii I will take this dilemma seriously. Are you balance whining?
How does suggesting P players spend their chronoboost equate to balance whining :|

And we also have scan - my favorite argument is when people simultaneously complain about scan and mules without considering that if you scan you dont have a mule -- Its a lack of understanding of how the game works at a high level, because the GSL has high level terrans, terran is op. Nothing you can do about it. I feel like this game illustrated how much worse ghosts are now against a templar based protoss. , its a difficult mechanic to balance unfortunately (no im not saying its ghosts are useless either they obviously still work). I think some top tier korean mutlitask in the situation Happy was in is really the only way to break Tod. But I can see why he was unwilling to shear anything away from his main army.
The thing is the matchups don't have to be 50:50 for SC2 to be "balanced". If terran is at a slight disadvantage that doesn't mean that blizzard _has_ to patch the game asap if it gets equaled out. there is no 50:50 matchup in BW.

Anyway, where will I be able to find the vods at when they're up... and how long will it likely take them to get the vods up? If anyone is truely awesome please PM me the info as I don't trust myself to look through the LR thread (I mean sure, I'm guessing Happy won. ToD looked like he had no clue what he could do other than move his deathball around a bit, but I'd like to watch it anyway).
It's going to be uploaded on Day9's YouTube channel I believe he said.

But but if protoss wants to keep up with terran economy, we have to sacrifice army supply for probes... But I really don't know anything. I don't even play the game. ;D

Tytyty now to bed! You are kidding? Nani gets DRG AGAIN?!?!?! So unfair...

Drg, Naniwa, Puma and Genius for one semi-final spot... ouch. Hero won't make it out of the lower bracket, so I believe we will have one foreigner in the finals.
|
col AND a liquid teamkill first round, ouch.

Oh yes DRG vs Naniwa! Can't wait to see Naniwa get his ass handed to him.
Also, surprisingly few PvP's for a random draw.
