No player/caster bashing, or balance whining. Bans will be handed out like candy. (page 217)

No sexist jokes or anything of that nature either. Be mature people.

Yeah, so fucking brilliant trading 500 minerals agains only 100... so gosu... Nestea just lost the game there. It wasn't a meta-game move, it was a shitty decision.

Are you sure it was really 500 minerals that was losted though? And for the record, I'm sure it wasn't as shitty as you make it out to be. Give Nestea some credit, he probably was not the retard you make him out to be in that game heh

I mean, Nestea is one of the best in the world. I'm not trying to argue that. I'm only saying, that move was bad. Not the worst decision ever, but bad.

I'm talking about Artosis saying: "OH JESUS!!! GOD-MOVE BY NESTEA DOING THAT MINDTRICK!!!" like "it's nestea, of course he's doing the best thing". And people in this threat going like "MINDBLOW!!!" and all that stuff...

It was a bad move. 500 minerals maybe it's too much... but of course he losted more than 100 minerals (the cost of the cancel) pulling the drones.

I think Nestea just failed there and he was like "Ok, he cancelled and now he's making cannons in the main, so this is a suicidal move", and then Nestea stopped the rush and started playing from behind.

It cost naniwa way WAAAAAY more than 100 minerals.

100 for cancel on nexus. 150 for each of the cannons in his main. 100 for the pylon that was up at his expo. 150 for the forge (maybe not, dunno if he ever rebuilt the forge, it was such a wierd game).

There were two cannons up right away (300 minerals) which along with the nexus and pylon, there's your 500 minerals right there. Then there were other cannons in his main too very slightly later on (he may have canceled them tho when the drones didn't arrive) but I forget how many. One or two for sure.

Not to mention he kept naniwa off two bases for long enough to get situated himself with his own expansion which is why the game normalized a bit.

Thats my point, the games weren't awesome at all.
Id get the hype if it was 2 sets of really close macro games, but it wasnt.
Pretty boring games, no mind games, no incredible micro, no special taktiks,
the games were just mediocre, which is why im thinking MVP/Nestea cant have really been that bothered, because when have both of those players gone down when they really care?

i really didnt think you watched the games
first you blame jetlag when they all came from korea, which is just bs.

no mind games? did you see game 3? no incredible micro? did you see naniwa micro in game 2/3?
no special tactits? in game 2 artosis commented he never seen anything like it.

i dont care if people dont like nani winning, but your reasons are just wrong. and you blame this and that.

so sad.

Check my post history, im clearly a devout Nani hater.
I just watched those series of games, and compared to the games ive seen MVP/Nestea play in the GSL, they didnt seem in any way remarkable.
I can clearly remember times when both players have had me following every move, i cant really remember any brilliant points in the games ive just watched, and they only happened a few minutes ago.
I dont see why everyones hating/calling me a troll for pointing out that those games weren't exactly remarkable.

people most likely calling you out for comming up with any excuse you can think of, i like how you didnt address the jetlag comment in your rebutle ^_^

Congrats to Naniwa, beating the 2 best players in the world by far is no small feat. People shoudln't overhype it though: in the end, it's just 2 BO3 in a special event. Notice how MVP only did very safe, middle of the road that people use all the time on ladder (1rax FE--> 4rax ; 2rax shells)? Still, it's cool to see Naniwa's preparation and dedication paying off

I'm disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm over Naniwa's win. I guess people here don't consider him a true foreigner because he trains in Korea. Stephano beats a bunch of code B/A Koreans and people were hyping him as the best zerg in the world. Naniwa beats the 2 most successful players in SC2 history and people just quickly move to discredit him. Do you people understand the gravity of what just happened here?

the naniwa - nestea games were gimmick and not a standard outplaying win, but a win is a win

the naniwa - mvp games were good, and naniwa played like a boss

Nestea played really bad against 2 timing attacks that he should have held off with decent unit control
MVP was incredibly slow on upgrades both games and lost them pretty handily to just being out upgraded.

While they are the 2 best players in the world, it was pretty poor sub-standard play out of both of them. I don't think it's an accurate representation of anyone's skill in those series.
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

And actually joking about child molestation can be a good thing. It raises awareness. Think of how Catholic priests molesting altar boys is such a prevalent joke, and thanks to that cultural prevalence the actual crimes aren't ignored and victims are more likely to speak out because the Church has a bad reputation.

Anyway, this is getting terribly off topic.

All those Catholic priest jokes didn't stop the last wave of scandals in the last 10 years in Boston/Europe. And I've heard those jokes since I was a kid and probably started at least since the 60's when the Vatican first responded to the problems.

And of course these scandals are all about incidents of abuse from decades earlier, so I don't think all that joking has helped any victim come forward at all.

It cost him a lot, but at the same time it cost Nestea quite a bit. Sending that many drones off minerals and gas for that length of time is very costly and as well-played as it might have been, it came at a huge cost.

When he then lost those zerglings trying to kill Naniwa's sentries and failing to do so, he was behind and Naniwa could then exert a lot of counter-pressure, preventing him from droning and leading to him having an insufficient economy on which to overwhelm Naniwa's blink stalkers later on.

i consider naniwa the best foreigner atm but his wins were nowhere near the level of say idra's win over bomber, his wins were due to his opponents mistakes and not due to his playstyle(the style that he played was extremely high variance, his g1 win over mvp was solid tho).. that being said a wins a win and being able to take out mvp and nestea back to back is a huge achievement regardless of how the games played out
