Hello there fellow TL members.
You may or may not have seen our recruitment post. In conjunction with this little drive of ours, I have decided that the next event in the Teamliquid EVE Tournament Series will be a pair of Starcraft tournaments, one SC2, one BW, to celebrate the game that brought us all together.
As this is meant to supplement the recruitment drive and get more people to join up, the prizes for this tournament will be in both EVE currency and EVE game time.
Also, to accommodate both the European and NA players, there will be two separate brackets in the SC2 tournament, one on the EU server, one on NA. The winners of both brackets will play for 1st and 2nd place.
These matches will begin on Saturday the 12th, times will be posted soon, when I get a better idea of the number of competitors.

Please only sign up for one.
You may enter both the BW and SC2 tournament, but you can only win prizes in one of them. If you are not going to play EVE and do not want your prize, it will go to the next person.
The prizes are:
1st - 2 PLEX (60 days of game time or ~860 million in ISK)
2nd - 1 PLEX (30 days of game time or ~430m in ISK)
3rd (the second place in both brackets) - 300 million ISK.
The map pool is:
1v1 Blizzard ladder except Abyssal Caverns and Nerazim Crypt.
Tournament format:
Single elimination
Matches will be BO3, Finals will be BO5 (can change depending on the amount of competitors)
Loser picks next map
The first round starting map will be Metalopolis
Next round maps will be added depending on the number of competitors
Rules:
Spectators:
- Anyone can observe if they ask
- Both players must be set to "busy" during a game so they cannot be PMed
- Please don't cheat using skype or any other voice chat. This is intended to be a fun event.
Lag/Delay:
- If an observer causes the game to lag they must leave immediately
- If lag/delay continues, all observers must leave the game
Disconnects:
- If a player disconnects and the game was in the first 5 minutes, there will be a regame
- If the game was longer than 5 minutes, contact a member of The Hatchery, namely Mandini
- The Hatch member will decide whether the game will be replayed or a player will be awarded a win
- If the same player disconnects twice, that player will automatically take a loss
Reporting Matches:
- You must report the result of the match after it has been completed
- To do so, pm Mandini on TL
- Please ensure you select the right maps for each round
Pauses: Please notify your opponent if you intend on pausing
- A pause should not exceed 5 minutes and can be done only once per game
- Pauses for extended periods of time are permitted if any in-game issues arise (lag, excessive BM etc.)
- Please contact a member of The Hatchery, namely Mandini, if any such issues arise in-game

I'm only Platinum but i signed up (EU), this is a cool thing you guys are doing, I was looking into geting back into EVE soon, its a great game, even though i'm still new to it, i tried it for a month and really enjoyed it, and always follow the updates they are planning.

So just so I have it straight, once the brackets are posted should we just contact whomever we must do honorable contact against and then send the results for the set to Mandini? Then Mandini will update the brackets and we will see who we fight against next?

Both brackets published, it looks like the NA side is going to be a much harder bracket, I may add additional prizes along the way.

Are there going to be set times for matches? Or do we have a certain pediod of time to send in results?

I'm unsure of how to sign up, or if it's even possible anymore seeing how at least the EU one seems to be locked, but if you need replacements for noshows or whatever I can play in either tourney, I've got accounts on both servers. Throw me a PM if it's possible.

Basically start as close to 18:30 GMT (+00:00) as you can, and just go from there. I'll be hanging out in the TLET channel when I'm not watching one of the games. EU people will need to pm me on TL with scores. I'm expecting the rounds to take about 45-60 minutes each, but obviously it can be much shorter or a bit longer, so we are just going to go with it.
Signups are closed, if someone doesnt show I will let you know.

I'm very confused what with the different timezones (especially the fact that TL seems to think it's now 22:18 GMT).
Anyway, are all matches (both EU and NA) definitely scheduled for 18h30 GMT on Saturday, November 12th?

The first round will end whenever the players playing broodwar and sc2 finish their sc2 games, at that point anyone who hasnt shown will be dqed and the second round will begin.
