Socke has won almost 35,000$ in prize money, I'd say he's doing well for himself and he probably isn't going to lose sleep over people like sc14s. its not a big deal, i wont lose sleep if he does or doesn't stay on the scene. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. The fact that you compared him to Incontrol really shows how little you know. And while Kiwi's games are really exciting to watch, he doesn't really win more games than Socke. i said he was mid tier, and was talking about how the BOTTOM players are starting to slide down and become less competitive so yeah read what i typed first before responding. i wasnt comparing him to incontrol at all.
Yeah, but mid tier by what standards? If you exclude Koreans here, you also have to exclude all korean trained players which eleminates most Tosses that are above Socke in terms of Skill (Nani, SaSe, HuK). MaNa is the only european Toss which consistently shows as good results as Socke while having much more practice. Elfi is also good, but he's not a consistent performer, mainly because he lacks the mechanics. Seriously, tell me more than 3 non-korean Tosses that are way above Socke. There just aren't any.

"Way" above Socke? That's subjective. But Naniwa and HuK were above him even before Korean training. Also, White-Ra is better.
But I don't agree with sc14s's claim that Socke is going to fade away either. He's a mid-tier foreigner pro. He's no HuK, IdrA, or Stephano, but I don't see him fading away anytime soon. He'd still beat people like iNcontrol, Tyler, or Axslav decisively.

Its not only an oversaturation of games but its the meaninglessness of most of them. Hero's already made it to the GF, most guys are 1 game away, etc. There's no money for the regular season, there's no investment, there's no Koreans so the games are mostly just foreigners slap fighting.
All in all I think NASL is going to be the first league to be squeezed out when the SC2 esports pinch hits.

Me neither, but I had to sit through it at the recent IPL in Atlantic City.

Think of it this way, sc14s, people probably rate your post quality based on the few posts they've just witnessed similarly to how you judge Starcraft players. Extrapolate based on your hilariously small body of knowledge all you want.

Just voicing my opinion, I'd rather watch pretty much.... any other game other than LoL. I'm sorry maybe its just me.

In case you don't know, basically each player control a hero(they work in the same way as war3 normal heroes, 3 skills plus one ultimate, every level you gain 1 point to put in your skills; Ultimate unlocks at level 6 but you still have to put a point in it to get it), plus you kill creeps which spawn in these 3 lanes to get gold and experience. You also get experience by killing the other team heroes and constructions(3 towers in each lane plus base). If a hero dies, it take some time to respawn; Game ends when the other team main's build(don't remember the name of them in LoL) are killed.

wow ! that was the most messed up ulti spam I have ever seen XD

watchin HoN is fucking hard even if you play it every day...

Nani? Yes. He was on an extreme hot streak prior to departing to Korea (similar to MaNa right now), but Huk? No. Before Huks training in Korea really improved his play, Socke was at least on the same level. He actually was some kind of nemesis to Huk, eliminating him in three major tourneys (DH Winter, Assembly Winter and MLG Dallas 2011), despite PvP being his by far weakest MU. Even today, he has a positive record against him.
His PvT is way stronger and pretty feared in EU (the Bo3 today doesn´t change that), proved by victories in important tourneys over high calibre players like Select, Kas, Brat_OK or Dde (vastly underrated) and even that MU is still below his PvZ.
His PvZ is top notch in EU, I would even go as far and say he is right now the strongest PvZ player residing in Europe (SaSe by the very few games I have seen from him could be on this level). I base that on the victories (since DH Summer) over following zergs:
IdrA Ret MorroW Nerchio (twice) DIMAGA (twice) Darkforce Sheth
The only Zerg, that seems to give him real trouble recently is Stephano (who is on fire lately), but they haven´t played much against each other (one Bo3 and one Bo1 as far as I know).
I´m sorry, but calling Socke a Mid-tier foreigner is disrespectful IMO. A mid-tier foreigner shouldn´t be able to beat all the players I mentioned above. That are far too many to call them upsets or something like that. A mid-tier foreigner shouldn´t be the 6th highest player outside Korea in terms of won price money and have tons of Top 8 or higher finishes in major tournaments (IEM, MLG, DH, Assembly and so on) over the span of more than a year.
Socke IS a Top foreigner, capable of beating pretty much any non korean player, if he brings out his A-game. This isn´t even much of an opinion, because he has done it before.
