Correct. We are offering players who might not be able to normally afford to be able to go to this event free travel to attend, as well as a way to bypass the qualifier bracket there and go straight to the championship bracket.

Never mind, I thought this was something else. ^^

Just to reiterate, this is a $5 entry online tournament to win a trip to the $15,000 live event in the UK on November 18th-20th. Winning that tournament also gets you a free trip to the looming IPL 4 live event in 2012, with another huge prize pool. If you don't sign up for this, you may be a crazy person!

Plenty of European countries don't really celebrate Halloween all that much.

Is this restricted to Europeans? I'm guessing you're not paying flights from Korea or US?!

The winner will have airfare and hotel covered from anywhere. You will need an EU SC2 account to participate, however.
TO CLARIFY: You can enter from ANYWHERE in the world, but you must have a European SC2 account to participate. If you place in the top 2, you will receive free airfare and hotel to the live qualifier in the United Kingdom on November 18th-20th. This is the same weekend as MLG Providence, so it is more or less tailored for EU participants, yes.

If you buy a retail box copy from Amazon UK and are patient enough to wait, it's probably the cheapest way to get an English EU copy.

Would definitely sign up if I thought I had a chance. Glhf to all!

Actually the cheapest way to get a EU copy would to be to buy a US copy, phone up blizzard and ask them to swap region.
If he was to import from the UK he'd have to pay duty + tax or whatever they pay.

Qualifiers for a tournament, which isnt announced yet are pretty strange^^

If he was to import from the UK he'd have to pay duty + tax or whatever they pay. Or just buy key online... But not through blizzard store.

Do you have to OWN an EU account, or are you allowed to borrow an account from somebody?

You're allowed to borrow but only one account can sign up for the event, you can';t be switching between players on the same account.
