This. Terran early game has so many ridiculous options to fuck with the opponent and on top of that has the safest early game due to depots, repairs, building the CC in base and hiding tech.
You can't blame a player for using all options to beat an opponent. I'd totally cheese all day if I could win $5,000 for it.

you play to win the game, not please some random people on the internet. If starcraft was meant to be played "standard" every single game you would have all units be invulnerable until 15 minutes have passed. It's part of the game, and I LOVE IT.

What a lot of people are overlooking is that it's not just about who wins. If a strategy game was nothing but 6 minute cheese games over and over there would be no sponsors, no tournaments, and no scene. Now I'm NOT, I repeat, NOT, suggesting "someone is hurting e-sports" or any of that tired bullshit. What I am suggesting is that people with the "whatever wins games is best" mentality are missing a critical element of both the business and viewership of Starcraft 2. There is a lot more to it than "winner takes all".
