When Lichtenstein is signed up, it's for qualification, not tournament pools. They won't get a direct ticket to the championship playoffs when there are tons of stronger teams below just because they performed surprisingly well in a previous playoff. The system is flawed, but there is no doubt in my mind that MLG will have the insight to improve/change it for next season ![]() Again, amazing tournament. I think you can draw some better parallells with the Olympics.

Congrats to HuK ^_^ Hulk 2-1 StC was quite impressive as well, given that he'd just slayed Bomber in the game before. I guess the top terrans will have to practice their TvP a bit more it seems :p

Defeating Sase Stephano otw too! Idra deserves the credit too for not losing his cool against Boxer and managing to make it to 4th and gg'ing each game. STC and MKP was amazing, topping their group from the open brackets and Polt got out from the loser's bracket to 2-0'd lots of people eventually losing to PuMa. Huk and Mc too! Though i dont really like MC for his arrogance(?). Was really looking forward to Idra winning MKP(then topping his group) and playing against HuK/ Idra vs HuK in the finals. Such an exciting event! Its like the dream match-ups happening! imo the best series was idra vs boxer when boxer starts getting back into the game, and idra vs bomber. One of the last foreigner's hope vs the previous champ! I didnt realise bomber was so good untill now I love how idra deserves credit for gg'ing each game, just shows how far he's come. lol

I hope this puts to bed all the people complaining MLG is boring now that the Koreans have come and win everything. Foreigner Protoss's are much superior to their Korean counterparts also.

I'll be honest, I didn't watch much of Raleigh. I kept an eye on it, but it seemed like it'd turn out to be another Korean dominant win. Boring for me, quite honestly. I started off not watching the friday at all of Orlando, checked up on groups and such and suddenly got a lot, LOT more interested as Koreans weren't just rolling everyone. This MLG saved MLG for me, as I'll now definitely watch the following ones.

So far this season all 5 events have been won by the guy who won the winner's bracket. Naniwa won the winner's bracket (how could he not? He didn't throw a map untill the grand finals) MLG finals are generally pretty meh. I guess everyone are fine with that though, since the matches prior to that are usually the most exciting you can find anywhere ![]()
