No he didnt.
He went 15hatch, built 3 drones, 17pool, build 2-4 more drones, then gassed.
Thats the only reason i was questioning his opening, i agree on blind 15hatch vs terran especially on these maps

It was 3-1. And if you watched those games, they were very onesided. The only game TheStC won is one that he played extremely greedy (very very quick third... he had his third up a full few minutes before stephano did) and stephano didn't punish him. Despite that, Stephano still caught up in that game.
I don't know why people are arguing this. TheStC might have had a poor day at IPL3 or something... but he was lost against Stephano's style back then.
Hopefully he has studied Stephano a bit more now though.

If you haven't noticed, in most matchups, if someone is cheesing, they often do it the first time. Especially if they consider themself the better player. It's sort of a metagame thing ... cheese often counters other cheese, and it puts the other player in a defensive mindset if it works for the next game.

Depends how you look at it. I knew that would come and i have no problems watching stuff like that. In fact i'm glad he opened this way since he has pretty much no chance against Stephano in macro game. And it would be even more boring to watch Stephano roll this guy if STC wouldn't be playing cheesy/aggressive. IMO

you mean the only game he macro'd uncontested? He lost the game on Shak to an allin after he opened with a fast CC. Other games he lost because his cheese failed...
