The event just didn't feel as epic as an MLG to me, weather it be the crowd size, the way matches were presented etc but I really enjoy MLG's.

And Justin Wong takes 2 championships at Devastation.

You are seriously forgetting TheStC? He did better than any expected too. :p

Your whining doesn't mean anything either, sorry

Actually it does. Here's Nestea's quote when asked about playing online.

"I don’t think I can do online. I don’t want to give any excuses, but I get really angry at the lag. Because of the lag, I don’t think I want to be in any online tournament in the future. It causes me a lot of stress without a lot of payoff."

Interview was done right after a GSL match. There is a reason that Nestea refuses to participate in online tournaments.

You know that sc2 dosent have LAN mode?... so basicly its always online... fail more please.

I don't really understand the people who try to diminish a player's win the moment after he wins. What are you trying to accomplish?

"Stephano isn't good. He needs to beat Koreans. He did? Oh well that was online. That doesn't mean anything at all. He needs to win a LAN anyway. Oh he did? But...were Koreans there? Really? But not good ones right? Oh MMA, MC, Puma, Lucky, Violet, TheStC, Artist, Inori, Ryung, Boxer, Hero, Sleep, and Select were there...well...fuck you I don't like Stephano I'm not listening anymore lalalalalala."

Congratulations Stephano.
They're fools. You should eat them.

I am so sad that Stephano won. He seems like another bm IdrA in the making.

Um... How??? Where has he showed BM? Just. Just. No.

His answers to panel questions. His interviews. His "whatever, i dont care" attitude. He just gives me that "i am too good to care" vibe.

This is in no way comparable to the bitching and the insulting of other players by Idra.

When the interviewer asked Stephano why he says "gratz" when he loses, he said that it was because he is himself good and if "some one is better than him, he wants to congratulate him". That is an awesome attitude. I don't like the fact that Stephano is taking pride in not practicing much though...

amazing player no doubt
but i gotta agree this guy needs an attitude adjustment
david asks him how he feels, and he responds "you already asked me that question"
wtf, u just won 30k thanks to this guy and thats how you respond

Agree 100%. But I guess he's just acting his age and his lack of proper upbringing. Someone just need to smack him a few times to teach him some manners.

So?

Lag affects both players. Stop whining and trying to discredit Stephanos victory.

Same here. I guess Stephano will get same praise from Koreans that Thorzain gets now, maybe even more.

The reason he looked bad against aLive was because he went pure ling (which had worked for him on European ladder) he stopped doing it after that serie because of that.

I swear watching him play its like he has maphacks or that there is someone telling him everything his opponents are doing through an earpiece concealed beneath his bandana. I know this is not whats going on (unless I think about it for too long :p) but when watching his games its hard to think of what he would be doing that hes not doing if he had complete vision of everything in the game.
say you were born into a jungle indian tribe where food was scarce...would you run around from teepee to teepee stealing meat scraps after a day lazying around doing nothing except warming urself by a fire that you didn't even make yourself? -rekrul

Would you rather this thread be covered with people saying Mvp can't touch Stephano? Because it was like that for a long ass time, bro.

There is a sweet middlespot, why does it have to be extreme praise or discredit?

Can we please stop counting matches played between players 6000 miles away? Stephano's good and all but you don't need to overplay his achievements, let them speak for themselves. It's Lucky's first real tournament alongside his teammate Inori, and when the hell did TheStC last compete?

What are you even trying to say? This is like a new level of digging to find something to harp on.

Trying to downplay the fact that foreigners overhype everything to the highest caliber of exaggeration, which usually results in the actual players achievements getting ridiculed by the more knowledgeable individuals of the community.

agreed. What Stephano has done is amazing, but people will start calling him 'Nestea' level, and will overhype him so much that people will backlash against the hype, making everyone sad.

if hes even remotely accurate as to how much he trains, he has to be considered a complete prodigy. his mechanics and game sense are both incredible. his zvt and zvp would be twice as scary if he knew the ins and outs of the matchup as good as some, and its already very, very good.
