I dont understand why Huk went carriers. Besides delaying him getting a huge army(big build time), you only transition to carriers if they dont have a significant corrupter count.
He should've just gone mass ground army with high templar or something. Stephano was forced to spend all his resources into infestors(no mins, only 3k gas.) Huk was in a bad position anyway and was down supply for the majority of the game.
Don't complain about imbalance when players make dumb decisions, like going carrier against mass corrupter or forgoing high templar or getting fungaled.

Not sure if Huk was experimenting or trying to demonstrate that you can't really use late game carriers/mship against zerg. Both Terran and Zerg have viable late game compositions, but not toss.
He said in the pre-tourney interview he wasn't taking the group play that seriously. He might have also been not wanting to show his real prep for late game PvZ and save it for the bracket that counts.

This is why you don't see carriers much either (also in PvT). Colossus force corruptors/vikings which also counter carriers so you can't really switch to that anymore.
