Agreed on the expos, but prism harass doesn't give map control - Stephano could still freely expand, but stephano's roachling army could threaten Mana's expanding if he didn't get some colossi/more units (he did sacrifice a fair amount to harass) out. I'd guess that's why he expanded later.

Stephano wins IPL3 Stephano did tear through MLG Open bracket, losing only to Korean players (StC in open, BoxeR in championship) Stephano is about to win ESWC
... right. Totally And is about to win 56000 dollars in 2 weeks. Insane MVP got $70,000 in 2 days.. (could have been $100k) And that does make it less impressive?
it sounded like that no one else has done that insane feat recently.. I do not question stephano's skill nor compares him to MVP

After I saw Mana lose to Bigs on day 1, I can't see this going another way than 3-0

omg the map vision, Stephano has

Great player still of course, just could be even better! 4 control groups is about 4 times as much as most other zergs ^^

I wonder if this win would make Stephano the highest earning non-korean player. I think HuK's currently in the lead with around ~50k. I guess Stephano would overtake if he wins ESWC.

I mean ... seriously, headphones ONLY without ear plugs, on stage with french commentatiors that are very loud ? And ofc Stephano is the only player that can understand this language, there are o more french players ... We know you love MaNa but come on its noice reduction headphones there is 10k fans screaming they can not hear the commentators. MaNa is a great player but Stephano is in another league
Don't call it "another league".
MaNa's harrasment was superb! MaNa lost because he don't macro enough.
MaNa kept winning battles of 170 zerg supply vs 100 protoss supply 3-4 times in a row, but at the end he couldn't keep up with those 6 bases of Stephano. If MaNa will focus more on macro he is certainly able to win!

Whitera's 'special tactics' should be the norm like how terrans harrass with drops . Toss should always try to aim for a fast third if they want to pin zerg back with warp prism. With 3 base gas, you can start doing some serious dts/warp prism harassment. Dts are bad in the early game, but tosses seems to way underestimate their capabilities in the mid game.

GG to Stephano for being on 6 bases with all that pressure early game. Too bad that Mana tried to win with 2 bases against 6 bases. The game is never balanced around equal bases. Protoss will never be on equal bases with zerg, because you can't. ...the game also isn't balanced around Z having 3 times as many bases as P. 6-base Z is equal to 3- or 4- base P. If you think Stephano was saturating all 6 of those bases, you're crazy.
Mana's third was also up before Stephanos 5/6th.

The point is that MVP is 70000/56000 = 1.25 time better than stephano !

Well if Stephano win this Tournament, he become the 1st Foreigners in money according to http://www.sc2earnings.com/

Edit: badly worded. Still think sound proof booths would help :&

He has only been pro for 1 month btw its so insane. He got no korean training still beating some fo the best koreans like its nothing. Slaughtering the foreign players. I cant wait to see what he will become when he goes to Korea

Protoss needs to do something different to counter the 6 minute third from zerg... seems like it's a downhill battle from there on

I feel the biggest mistake of Mana is that he plays too predictable right now. He should use some other builds or timings, especially in longer series.

The Cumulative Tournament Winnings doc says that IdrA's the top earning foreigner currently, and yes, this win would put Stephano at the top.

Stephano and Mana are sparring partner in PvZ so hard to try some "other build" :p

I agree on the soundproof booths, but i can't imagine that either of the players can turn around and watch the screen for more than a tenth of a second before getting DQ'd. All in all this has been a pretty cool tournament IMO :D
