Dimaga must feel like shit. Beating two koreans in the group stage and then lose to friggin Hasuobs must reeeally hurt.

Yeah, i was really disapointed when i saw Dimaga lost. I felt he could of taken the tournament and beaten Puma in the finals but now i cant see anyone who may be able to take Puma out.

Hasu and Elfi doing well but Puma so good vs Protoss its not funny. I'd like to see if elfi has any curve ball builds to throw at Puma tho so i hope to see that final.

One thing that i find funny is how many people are dismissing Idra as not with a chance vs Puma. I hope he does win, but only so we get a European Brotoss Champion =D =D

Agreed. IdrA has really good ZvZ. I'm happy he won

Exactly what i think. Thats how winning player should be thinking anyway.

Agreed.

1. Players should certainly be playing to win.
2. By constantly using the hardest (read as: "imba?") build for Protoss to stop, it forces Protoss to figure out the metagame (eventually) or Blizzard to eventually step in. In other words, it causes progress.

Go Puma!

Puma feels sympathy for his teammates and recognizes that he cannot be the only one in EG winning events so hell let idra advance =)

Wow.. 2 out of the 3 no brainers for liquibets got upset... and the Dimaga/Hasu series was a tough call, but I'm surprised at that outcome too.

Going to have to watch the vods to see how this all happened

This tournament was basically no contest from the beginning...Puma is just stomping everyone here. It was over when he was the only good Korean that attended.

But if he wants EG to take it home, he should beat idra. There is no way idra can beat either hasuobs or elfi.

Not any good compared to PuMa at least. JYP even lost to Dimaga and supposedly he had very good vZ.

If anyone thinks balance had anything to do with Puma steamrolling JYP, they're insane. There wasn't a moment where Puma looked vulnerable, ever. Hating on Puma for using the 1-1-1 build is also absurd. JYP isn't going to win a macro game against Puma, isn't going to win a 2-base against Puma and isn't going to win a 1-base against Puma.

At some point, the player is obviously weaker. See: Mvp vs Huk. Did Mvp 1-1-1? Didn't have to. He destroyed him with pure mechanics, better macro and a greater skill set. Each successive game where the opponent is getting shredded leaves his mind in tatters. There aren't going to be many people whose egos aren't bruised after being demolished by Mvp regardless of his opening build.

Huk and JYP are good Protoss players. At the end of the day, Mvp and Puma are on a different level respectively.

MvP is on a different planet than Puma. Puma won because he's better than JYP, but it's still just a Code B player beating a Code A player in his worst matchup. Puma lost to Mana remember?

I like Dimaga and I like Hasuobs as individual players, but it seems like they run into each other quite a lot in tournaments and for the majority of their games played together Dimaga is at least a league ahead of Hasu. It always disappoints me when he loses because even on Dimaga's stream (with his first person webcam on) he seems to get exceptionally depressed losing to Hasu on games where it matters.

Really wanted to see a Dimaga/Puma finals, what a shame...

VODs aren't up yet, ESL always needs ages to put them up.
