If any of you watched artosis' new path episode 2, sangho talks about these games beforehand and says he is going to beat polt. Polt just joined him on TSL and I guess they have been playing together a lot.

Templar chargelot against a noghost army and polt having a breakdown in game 2 is all it takes for people to start stating protoss is back alive.

Protoss are happy to cling to any small victory they can get atm even if it's due to another player making massive mistakes that let them get a win rather than them doing something special.

Its not so much happy protoss, but happy zerg and terran that can use this game as an example there is nothing wrong with protoss.

Don't know why Crossfire still in the map pools. That map is pretty shitty from the beginning.

Team breakdown moving on in code S:

IM : 4 players
SlayerS: 4 players
Startale: 2 players
Fxo: 2 players
TSL 2 players
col-mvp: 1 player
Ogs : 1 Players

IM, Slayers and FXO have players on both sides of the bracket and could theoretically have a teamkill finals like IM did in GSL July.

There some clear winner and looser teams this GSL.

Winner:
IM: 4 players in Code S, 3 win group, 1 second.
FXO: 2 player in Code S, both advance, 3 players in up&down from Code A

Loosers:
oGs: 5 players in Code S, 1 advance, 2 to up&down, (MC falls to Code B)
MVP: 4 players in Code S, 1 advance, 3 to up&down

It's funny that the GOMTvT is in fact making an interesting storyline about this GSL.
There's a good chance that a zerg could win despite the terran tsunami (Killer could win too but it's a Christmas storyline :D), or that MVP could back to back win and take the lead in GSL titles.
Or Nestea could beat MVP if he wins vs Bomer (which I don't doubt he will).
Ryung could win if he only play TvT to the end, but I pray he won't ><
We could have some dramatic Slayers teamkills here. We could have a IM vs IM final too.

Thanks for proving me wrong, SangHo. I was correct on my other 3 picks, but I'm glad to be wrong and that Killer made it through .

Still, 1 Protoss in Ro16.

You know, Zerg actually did better than Terrans did in group stages. Looking at the minimum/maximum and actual of each race that went through we see this:
Terran:
minimum: 5
maximum: 15
actual: 10

Zerg:
minimum: 0
maximum: 7
actual: 5

Protoss:
minimum: 0
maximum: 5
actual: 1

So pretty much the amount of Terrans that went through was expected, more Zergs, less Toss, but none can truly be surprising with the small sample size.

Artosis constantly calling Coca's quick 3rd base, a "HIDDEN" 3rd base was kind of annoying.

Top went CC first, Coca responded by expanding once more, in the 2nd most likely spot on the map. In fact vs a CC first instead of 1 rax CC i would say that is the most likely spot since it doesn't have the rocks.

Hidden base makes it sound as if Coca flipped a coin and took a far away base unlikely to be scouted until the late game, as if he got away with something cheesy. When really it was a reaction to what he scouted.

These results were so suprising. SangHo beats Polt, Coca advances 2-0. Unfortunately, SangHo gets to face Coca next round. I need more toss in RO16
