That's disrespectful to both mouz and Liquid. Liquid wanted to win this as can be shown by their lineup. They were not screwing around or anything like that.

They wanted to win, but there was no pressure. *shrug* Does making a proxy hatch to block a P wall followed by a worker rush seem like a strategy you use when the match depends on you?

I don't want to disrespect a player, but I think he had more chance with block/rush, than beating Mana straight up. Mana just doesn't lose to anybody recently.

Aren't these games played beforehand and the casting is off of replays? Looked like that to me. In that case, haypro might have been the first to play his game and didn't know everything depended on him winning.
In any case, that was a cute idea. After it fails everyone can hop into this thread and say how bad it was, but if it worked, you'd all be calling him a genius. I like unorthodox play and I applaud haypro for trying that even though it didn't work out.

Mana went nexus first against pool first, which is a ballsy move and a normal rush with, say, roaches would have done way more damage than attacking with drones.

So all 5 games are played but only the relevant ones are shown? Could be, I don't know.
I don't see how that could have worked out. Mana had 2 nexi to reinforce probes, had cannons to fall back to...I just don't see it, sorry.

I don't know if all the games were played out, I doubt it actually. I guess they just played out 3 and had the 4th and possible 5h match scheduled to be later. Those could've been cancelled. But I don't know - this is pure speculation, the casters however did that 3-2-1 countdown before the game started and that's what you usually do to have that replay in sync for both casters.
The strategy could have worked. Haypro only needed to get his lings into Mana's base. That didn't happen, obviously, since mana blocked them with probes. But the element of surprise could have certainly made that possible.
