IdrA vs a platinum guy, gonna be fun

IdrA is streaming this. Funny stuff.

Oh IdrA isnt gonna play
|
Ha how are you going to play a best of 3, ask for advice after saying GG in the first game, ask for advice again at the start of the second game, and then not GG after losing?
Kudos to incontrol for even offering advice in the middle of a best of 3. Could you imagine a football coach walking up to an opposing football coach at halftime and going, "hey you should probably run to our right side more often we are weak there." GM from Inc.

Why has Idra shot his stream down?

He didn't even want to give advice. I had to ask him AGAIN at the start of the game. Not to mention his arrogant tone with me "rofl yeah right" when really I had game 1 won through outplaying him, and then didn't make enough broodlords(which was admittedly my bad.)
The point is I didn't like his tone, which implied that he was far better than me and I was just stupid. He made his tone obvious. And when I feel I can hold up with him in a macro game, then fuck that.
And when your a pro of course people are going to look up to you. I did, and I asked him for advice. Personally if you don't have the time to give advice then :/.
And I didn't gg because I got dt rushed. I'm sorry if that angered me. Especially after his "superior" tone.

Want to know what actually happened?
You asked for advice at the end of a game after GG'ing. I couldn't tel if you were still palying or actually just asking for advice. You should leave, then ask between games. That is what is actually appropriate.
You asked again for advice and despite it being in the middle of a tourney game I took the time to oblige you. You disagreed with literally everything I said. You were "fine" on bases. You suicided the mutas cause you "had money to spend." And you made that many infesters just fine.. when you here admit it was bad (cause it was). After disagreeing with my advice despite asking for it I said "rofl ok" because who the fuck does that? Then you leave with no GG.
And no, despite killing a nexus and being annoying with lings you were never going to win game 1 because you aren't very good. You need to protect your expos from DT's and not suicide mutas / lings as much as you do. Your infesters were ALWAYS going to die whether you had 3-4 more broods or not. I had void rays coming off of 3 stargates and I had 4 bases vs your 5 with your army dead.
GG next time and less attitude plz.

Are you both kidding me? The dude(who just above admits it) is asking for advice IN THE MIDDLE OF A TOURNAMENT in the MIDDLE OF A BEST OF 3. Are you serious?
Then you started arguing with him about the advice he gave you! All you had to do was wait till the series was over and ask. But in the middle of a series of a competitive tournament with a lot of big names? If you want advice pay him for his time to give you a lesson.
Jesus, if I was incontrol and you asked me for advice in the middle of our competitive series I'd have told you to screw off. In what competitive sport would the other team start giving you advice WHILE THE MATCH WAS STILL IN PROGRESS?
Only incontrol could somehow come out of that situation with someone siding against him. Have some self respect while being streamed live to not ask for advice after saying GG in the first game of a BO3.

I disagreed with you on mutas and expos, because I had like 6 bases when you were on 3. If you honestly think I should have 8 somehow, and leave myself super open, then......
Mutalisks are debatable. I felt I was just getting you out of position and abusing you (as I did.) I only made a handful and they did enough damage with the probe deaths. Finally I wasn't going mass muta so the mutas weren't useful anyway and I would have to sacrifice them eventually. Unless you went to suggest I should've gone mass muta vs archon.....
I agree with you on support and infestors and brood lords. I didn't disagree there. You are taking it as if I was just like "help? SIKE YOUR WRONG." I was just wondering and offering my thoughts, contrary to your own tone.
And the only reason you won game 1 is because I made a mistake with army composition. NOT because of macro, or multitask, or micro, all of which I showed was superior. I lost one expo, but I don't think you even realized that I still had 5 other bases. I didn't need that expo. You just felt good by destroying it. And if I had more broods, since you had like no anti air they would've destroyed that army. Then I could've remaxed vs your void rays(and I even had corrupters still) to easily deal with you. AND I was taking out your fourth.

To be frank Pandain you should just be happy Incontrol took 5 minutes to reply to your trolling and exit the thread lol.
|
Dude you weren't on 6 bases when he was on 3. Just because you have a hatchery doesn't mean it is a base. You were on like 3.5-4.5 tops. Your top corner was hardly mining.
The point is don't ask for advice from a pro, and then try to argue. Just take what he says and be happy and move on. He isn't obligated to even talk to you. Especially in the middle of a series. Jesus doesn't matter, I should have known better than to try to throw a compliment incontrols way knowing it would somehow result in you looking good and him bad. Maybe next game you play make 40 infestors and you'll win.
|
To be fair, Incontrol goes DTs once in essentially every best of 3 I watch him play. Really ought to be expecting that. It makes me cringe every time...
In case it's not clear, I'm a huge fan Incontrol, looking forward to wins from you in the future!
|
And after beeing superior and only making some composition mistakes - did you win the games or ask for advice from the player you were dominating (despite your composition)?
...
|
Just focus on the game when you are playing and ask between or send a PM or something when the serie is over. That's my opinion as a spectator.
Too bad Idra had to leave in the middle of a game. Not sure why tho, didn't ESWC start in about 30-35 minutes when he left?
|
Pandain, just let it go. Few things are more embarrassing that players who come and trash talk a player they just lost to. Not to mention the absurd idea of asking for advice in the middle of a BO3.

well, i agree you had that game. but your mistake was not more broods or something. you should have just attacked earlier while you had the advantage. dunno why you sat there letting a protoss get a 200 deathball. you outplayed him pretty badly until the last fight but that infestor control at the end made me cry. why did you even let it come this far?
|
Lol @ Pandain. This is your 30s of fame, except youre actually making yourself look worse. Having 6 hatcheries doesnt mean you have a 6 base economy.
You ask for his advice, reject almost everything he says and gets tickled because he feels like youre wasting his time. Inc is a pretty nice guy, he responds to his PMs, random msgs when hes streaming, friendly at live events but guys like that act like this really make pros like him think twice.
