They are in no way overpowered, Hero is just incredible and IdrA made a few mistakes. A few mistake versus no mistakes will not win you the series against a player like Hero.

Hero really showing the power of the warp prism in this series.
Hero is an excellent pickup by Liquid btw. I think he will suppas Huk soon.

He's like one of the few Protoss in the world that are not stuck on the Winter2010/11 Protoss PvZ dominance and he brings the Protoss strategies to another level of intelligence. Good job! One of the best and well put statements about protoss play I've seen made on forums, I salute you sir and completely agree.

Can you speak Korean? I can speak my native language, english, german and spanish.
Edit: But that's not the point. Most of the people who play computer games online have a good grasp of the English language. I'm just curious why Koreans don't?

Why not use that 4-5k mineral bank to shore up the expansions with spines and shut any comeback window?

Great play from both of them! Really great! Loving Dreamhack so far. Now, Naniwa and Lucifron, gogogo! ^^ I disagree- both games depended on Idra making a mistake. Especially 2nd where idra was in dominating position. Both sides did not play a clean games. There is a huge room for improvement
hero played a little sloppy for the first 10-15 mins
but after that.....
|
Objectively, Idra was sitting with almost a 50 to 100 food lead for most of the game and was floating 3 to 5000 minerals for the majority of the time. He also had sparse cover in his main for counter attacks (even lacking 1 spine or spore for a bit) and would send most of his army to fend off the zealots at the 3rd or 4th. The greater spire was sniped without much effort. I don't think Idra is really playing near his ability, at least he didn't in this invitational.

Hero's multitasking is unfuckingbelievable, i'm at a loss for words.
Game 2 was seriously sick.

shuman vs orangemilkis grudge match!
|
Thinking about it more, although it was a great comeback by Hero, Idra really failed too.
He had soooo many minerals - why didn't he just make 6 spine crawlers at every expo?

Also- WTF happened at the 4th? how in the hell it got sniped the 8 zealots when the whole army was next to it 60 supply lead in roaches actually isn't tht much But he was srsly ahead- 5k minerals, 1k gas. droping 20 spines at expos would prevent everything bad that happened.
this - even though the praise for hero is justified, IdrA could have easily defended by dumping half of his unspent ressources into tons of spine crawlers
zealots are terrible when spines cover the whole zerg base and IdrA definitely had the money to do so
|
You know what would have helped Idra in this game? Like 50 spine crawlers.

It's the kim taek yong revolution all over again. But this time, with hero <3

Hero vs Thorzain, that might be the best series of the tournament in term of skill :O

I wonder if IdrA will realize that everyone in the SC world is just laughing at him now. It's sad how far hes fallen since MC demolished him. He needs to realize that hes not losing because Protoss is imba. He's losing cause his game has just gone to shit sure he can still macro but everything else is terrible now.
