Why would you attack just before colossus range finishes?
Tanks were sieged far away from his nat, he still had time to stall.

This. So many mistakes by both players in every game.

Axslav's build seemed a pretty decent response, he just engaged badly by not waiting for thermal lance

But that means lance shouldnt have been done?

No he was supply blocked for a long time ><. He should have had much more marines.

Rain's been supply blocked in every of those three games somehow.

And Axlav should have waited for range.
Go go Alliance.

Yeah.... if he can't hold Rain's 1-1-1... PuMa must be taking it easy on him.

Axslav did not control that well at all, and neither did Rain. To hold off the 1/1/1, you need to outmicro the terran. He didn't.

Couldn't agree with you more.

I can see why Axslav is confident against the 1/1/1. He responds correctly with a fast nexus, gets a good unit comp. Any crappier 1/1/1 attempts will get crushed by his defense/ But of course, a even slightly okay 1/1/1 still kills him...because it is the 1/1/1.

Yeah, just like he had a hard time staying in code s when people worked out the 2 rax.

Wait, what?

To be fair to Rain, I would not judge him on whether he is 'just a cheeser' on this match up.

As far as I am concerned, there is just about no reason to not 1/1/1 on maps that are good for it in TvP. At least there is no reason not to do it until you meet a player that holds them off legitimately.

And Axslav, I had faith after the first game. Of course, the first game was the biggest anti-timing attack so far of NASL S2, but oh well.

And Orb, I am sorry about my premature comment about missing Lz earlier. You are awesome. Not that I do not miss Lz, but it has nothing to do with Orb's casting at this point.

You can see that Axslav knows how to beat the 1/1/1 he definitely responded appropriately he just unfortunately made a poor decision to engage and microed terribly. It's a knife edge encounter - it just seems Axslav played it worse than Rain (supply blocked?)

Not really... against top players, definitely... but it's not like all Rain can do is cheese. He has good late-game play as well, he just cheeses a lot. I think if he was consistently losing whenever he tried all-in plays, he'd change it up and still do pretty well.

definitely needs to work on his depot timing though.

I don't think it would have mattered. You need 2 base income to hold that build and to hold that first attack he would have lost all probes at his natural. the 2nd attack would come and he wouldn't have the units to hold a second push if he was able to break the first one, which is questionable.

I think their mistakes were kinda even. A proper 111 attacks so that you cant get thermal lance out and in that case the result wouldve been the same

Fast Colossus is good against 3-1-1, but not 1-1-1

1-1-1 auto wins if you go Colossus because it hits soo fast
