On paper, he got the easiest group. Two decent, but very beatable terrans and the weakest or second weakest zerg in a deep zerg line-up. Zenio is easily better than leenock and possibly better than july and coca. Even losira being better is debatable. Zenio is always a mega underrated zerg. +1, Zenio has always had pretty solid mechanics, though in the last few seasons he seems to have hit a really good rhythm with his macro and creep spread. While his decision making isn't on par with say DRG, his macro is easily one the best in the Code S Zergs. zenio is under rated due to codde S zergs being very good. Nestea DRG July cocoa losira... they are all great so he is overshadowed Zenio is way better than July. He is so carried by his old BW rep. Just that July is stupidly lucky because he constantly forces coinflips vs superior opponents (read: most of Code S) It ain't luck if it works most of the time . Thats saying that every terran who does a 1-1-1 all-in against protoss wins by luck . All - in as zerg takes balls , because it's easier to hold then all-in by protoss or terran and the success rate isn't very good unless you are July . It doesn't even work most of the time. Heck in July(dohoho) he even failed to qualify out of a 3man group. And got to stay because Rain left. -_-' As I said the only one where he was even slightly impressive he got stomped pretty badly in the finals, almost as hard as InCa got vs NesTea. July is a top zerg easy. He has always looked impressive. I'd say his most impressive season was this last season. He would have won the championship had he beat Mvp. Losing to Mvp is nothing to be ashamed of. He has his own weird way of playing that sometimes gives him losses other zergs wouldn't get, but it also gets him many many wins through strong macro, micro, and most of all, sick tactics and timings. I wouldnt call missing larva injects at important situations good macro.

thank you july! we will have at least 1 non-terran in ro16!

I do agree it would be an amazing finals on paper, but remember every time they meet, it's an easy win for Mvp so I guess it's not the finals we need to put an end to the bad finals'curse ^^
I would personnally love to see a Mvp vs. MKP rematch in the finals !

He got pretty much the easiest group . I think he can at least stay in code S if he practises hard .

A race that has better cheeses and solid against cheeses. Strong terrans will be retained while terrans who don't deserve to be there will still have a chance to cheese their way through.

Haha, MarineKing is so screwed. That being said, it's just a bunch of Bo1's, so anything can happen.

even as terran player i hope some of the terrans move to up and down, namely ensnare or clide, mkp, keen or mma (sry i love nada), virus (god he is awfull), happy, taeja or polt, supernova or alive
hope every group were a zerg or toss is available they rape the terrans, gsl needs variaty, not 20 terrans.

huk has the easiest group :DD

Damn, that is a lot of Terran on that roster. Heh, the good thing for the Protoss and Zerg players is that they have to practice predominantly one matchup specifically CoCa, Nestea, and Puzzle.
For those wondering how many of each race is in code S read below:
Protoss [5] Puzzle HuK HongUn Genius SangHo (Killer)
Terran [16] Ryung MarineKing Bomber Keen NaDa MMA Virus Nuclear (asd) GanZi Jjakji Happy Polt Taeja TOP SuperNoVa aLive
Zerg [7] NesTea Zenio July LosirA Leenock DongRaeGu CoCa

@BlazeFury: You forgot the whole group A. Its 20 terrans.

lol, so true
my picks:
A: MVP, Clide B: Bomber, Puzzle (group of death imo) C: Nestea, MMA D: Huk, Zenio (easiest group) E: LosirA, Ganzi F: Jjakji, Leenock G: Dongraegu, Polt (possible Taeja upset) H: TOP, Supernova

So many Terrans, you missed an entire group of Terrans: Group A with MVP, Clide, Ensnare, Nobelesse.

With your signature beginning with moonglade i can assume you have a tendancy to cheer for underdogs but some of these predictions are really broken, dude... Especially TaeJa last in his group seems very unlikely !!

Soooo, my thoughts/predictions about the groups:
Group A: 1. MVP 2. Clide 3. Noblesse 4. Ensnare
I can't really see anybody touching MVP. Second place will most likely be Clide or Noblesse, and Ensnare to the Up/Down matches.
Group B: 1. Bomber 2. Ryung 3. Puzzle 4. MKP
This group looks stacked :o Bomber should be able to take first place, and then I would give a slight edge to Puzzle and Ryung over MKP. If 1.4 comes before the games are played, I would see Puzzle 2nd, otherwise Ryung.
Group C: 1. NaDa 2. NesTea 3. MMA 4. Keen
Holy fuck, talk about a group of death :o Kinda hard to predict since Nestea's weakest MU is ZvT, NaDa going full time. Keen probably a little bit under the rest of the group, but when you look at his run last season you can never know. I have no clue on who is gonna make it out of this group, but I'm hoping Nada will.
Group D: 1. HuK 2. Zenio 3. Nuclear 4. Virus
Huk and Zenio are imo the clear favourites for this one. asd could surprise though, he's a bit underrated imo, probably because everybody hates him for beating Boxer and Jinro in code A... But yeah, the most likely scenario would be Huk and Zenio advancing, asd staying in code S and Virus to the Up/Down matches.
Group E: 1. LosirA 2. GanZi 3. July 4. HongUn
This group is funny as it looks really unpredictable ahah :p On one hand I would place Losira and Ganzi as the clear favourites, but on the other hand you have July and Hongun who are the guys that you never expect to win and end up trashing their opponent, especially with the bo1 format. I would say Losira #1, followed by either Ganzi or July, and Hongun to the Up/Down matches, but anything could happen here
Group F: 1. Leenock 2. Jjakji 3. Genius 4. Happy
Leenock and Jakji would be my favourites. Genius is a bit too much inconsistent for my taste and Happy is a bit under the level of the rest of the group imo. Leenock/Jakji taking #1 and 2, Genius #3 and Happy #4, with maybe Genius taking #2 if he's on a good day...
Group G: 1. Polt 2. DRG 3. Taeja 4. SangHo
Polt and DRG are the favorites, even if I could see Taeja take down either of them. Sadly SangHo will probably fall to the Up and Downs
Group H: 1. TOP 2. CoCa 3. SuperNoVa 4. aLive
Aaand the last group. Top has been looking impressive last season, proving that he's definitely on the level of the top Terrans like MMA, Bomber and Polt. Top should take first place in this one. Second place will most likely go to Supernova or Coca, and aLive to the Up/Down matches.
