Obligatory public note for all large tournament threads:
The following is a list of behaviors that will get immediate bans:
1. Whining about stream 2. Bashing other games 3. Flaming other users 4. Bashing players 5. Complaining about imbalance.
It is in no way complete. Keep in mind that there's a difference between pointing out that the SC2 and CoD streams were switched and whining about it (same thing on pointing out/asking about stream lag and whining about it, etc.). Also, just because you post something and aren't immediately banned for it doesn't mean you won't get caught. We'll be going through this thread very carefully.
That being said, enjoy today's games!

Tester held those pushes like a god!

why do people continue to say DRG is so good? everytime i've seen him play i haven't seen anything special. CoCa seems like a much better zerg. CoCa is Code S, DRG is Code A... so why is he considered the better player?

If trickster had cancelled those nexi, the consensus would be that he'd played amazingly. That was the only major mistake he made.
But at the same time, failing to cancel two nexi in a row is facepalm-worthy several times over.

Sorry if this has been asked, but I've got a silver memebership, and when I click on high or ultra quality it tells me I need an access code.
It has a link of where to get the access code, and when I click it it goes to my membership page which says I have silver membership, and lists the benefits between gold / silver. I can't see anywhere to generate an access code however.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

DRG was never good at ZvP, look at his games in Code A...
|
drg threw away every advantage he gained by cancelling tester's 3rd. he used up so many lings just to delay for infestors, roaches and a 4th. then he attacked into a defensive protoss with unupgraded, slow roaches, sac'd his newly gained infestors and lost his 4th base when tester's new nexus was barely up and running.
he coulda just gotten a 5th base and overrun tester like 5 minutes later but he got impatient.

It doesn't prove your individual skill at all. Unless you're MMA, make it to final super tourney and beat Nestea. Actually it says a lot about the players and how well they do in the inner rankings man. Sure, there's a small sample size from the television matches but it's going to all add up in the long-run. I wouldn't discredit it at all.

Are you jealous of Trickster or something? Just because you are "pro" does not mean you can bash on Trickster. He is a great player and is showing it. Stop acting like a child and give him the respect he deserves. Nah man losing two Nexi trying to get a third obviously played into his 2-base gimmick. Layers upon layers of mindgames. You may kill his army and base....but that's what he wants you to do.

EDIT: ok I was wrong; I'm sorry for misinformation

I always enjoy seeing you post. Along with Tyler, you're one of the few pros who actually say what they feel on Teamliquid.

Yeah, I think this is about right. I think his mechanics are pretty good being a decent BW player.
Of course they're good, but I feel like he won because he could make better decisions and keep his composure under heavy harassment. DRG played with more multi-tasking and macro, but lost because of, unfortunately, one really bad decision.

The second game no he didn't. He lost his third nexus twice, forgetting to cancel one of times. He lost sentries as well as wasted all of their force fields. His first push with the +1 zealots did virtually nothing. He was in a bad position until DRG threw away his infestors because he had slow roaches. Followed up by a misdecision by DRG to counterattack while trickster was attacking. Trickster played ok, it was DRG's poor decisions that allowed him to win.
