Only the regular commercial breaks with the guild wars 2 trailer and stuff. Im not up to buying a pass for 5 euros for 3 days. Not that it's propably a bad investment but I don't see what IEM makes so special that I have to pay for their stream when many other tournaments don't require this.

Blizzard should do the same. But the numbers aren't inflated. And I don't even like LoL, but they deserve the credit. Thats where you are wrong. If someone opens the stream and the connection between the stream server and the computer is set up, so that you transfer data, it's a view. So basically you could fake views by just loading the stream into the login screen, homepages etc. You could also fake views by opening multiple clients of streams within one machine. Don't always just assume that something is legit. It's not a new thing to fake viewer counts, it has been done before and it will always be done in the future (Thats not bash at LoL here as it is likely to happen with SC2 streams as well.) Anyway. Let's please just talk about the games. This trash talk about other games is annoying. People should know by now that many people tend to like new games and LoL. Thats nothing new.

In fact I only stated that the average watcher of SC2 and LOL are different, most LOL watchers just find it (because LOL properly advertices it) while SC2 viewers are mostly all of them actively waiting for it. At least as it is now. I could argue this talking about marketing's useful impacts theory, but I dont give a fuck, I just hope taht Either Blizzard starts doing the same, so no tricky outsmarting can pushover other legitimate things only because of high numbers (again, I didnt say inflated, only big)

But thats not what is happening. The stream isn't open until the people are clicking play. Why can't you just accept the numbers? Do you realize how many people play LoL? Them having 45k viewers right now is no surprise.

Sure, it brings them more viewers, and good strategy for them to do. But it ruins those of us that do care about esports and looks/watches for tourneys

I watched Puma vs Sase and thought he outclassed him pretty hard. Opened both games kind of cheesy and fell behind but caught up with multiple drops - all which seemed to be effective.
