I want to learn a bit more about one or the other this week, but if Dota is easier I'll duck out and prep some dinner before Dota comes on. No, LOL is much simpler, easier to learn. DOTA teams actually utilize complicated strategies. If you are a complete noob, LOL is your game. Complete generalizations, LoL is not for 'complete noobs"- it's just a different and, yes, somewhat simpler game. That doesn't mean it's just for 'noobs'. Playing it at the top level is still a very, very, difficult and taxing thing to do. When the top HON player goes to LOL and in 3 weeks is undeniably the best player there it is safe to assume it's for noobs. Sorry there's no nicer way to put it. Anecdotal evidence does not a strong argument make. Anecdotal evidence? Look up Chu. It's empirical evidence, sorry bud.
No wonder there's not HoN at IEM, it's a failed copy paste of dota, at least LoL bring something new.

are the people watching the stream now are all the LoL viewers?
They have 12k between the streams and i'm sure there is overlap, unless the numbers being generated are wrong.

Is this stream embedded into the game again like on dreamhack? If yes, those figures absoulutely mean nothing.

Not to start an argument or something, i'm just interested. Or a source where the bashing can be found. I can't remember anyone he's called good tbh, so no real news. He called ret really good, probably because he's another zerg like him that enjoys making drones. He even called NesTea bad. Hmm, I'm not an IdrA fan..but the anti-IdrA people are just band-wagoning because he's playing terrible right now (which he even freely admits) and yeah, me joining this discussion probably isn't wise and feeds into the IdrA rule.
MaNa was simply a mid to highish level EU protoss after he took down the surprise Assembly 2nd finish in Winter, after January's Homestory he had very mediocre showings for at least 6 months before the next Assembly where he made another surprise out of nowhere. Even with his big wins right now, his PvZ is still under 50% winrate, his overall SC2 record is only just hitting 56% with this big momentum upswing (generally the true EU heavyweights are extremely close at 60% or higher).
MaNa right now, is amazing. In context, he's been ok at best in the past - like a Protoss Tarson, someone who can take games off champions, but is never expected to do exceptionally well or win big.
Last point...people need to stop quoting ancient IdrA comments. He called Nestea bad when he won GSL2..that's fall of 2010. Most pros were laughing at that season and couldn't grasp why Nestea won it - only Artosis was really defending Nestea (look at interviews etc). When IdrA said "zerg isn't supposed to beat protoss", although it hinted at true Idra whining, he said it because MC was trolling him with "are you angry?" - troll for a troll. Lot of people have short memory.

so it are real numbers.
real stupid to say such things without knowing shit.

The broadcast schedule is at ridiculously bad. I think a lot of people would want a rebroadcast just as the day is over. I've seen 2 games so far...

http://iemgamescom.leagueoflegends.com/ here the real stream, with about 100k+ viewers. that is VERY good. then again just a thought not to flame just a speculation: Own3d.tv always seem to result in higher viewership. like that blizzcon eu invite sc2 peaked at about 90k.

3 P, 3 T, 2 Z all advance.
3/6 Protoss advance (50%). 3/6 Terran advance (50%). 2/4 Zerg advance (50%).
Mmk, so no one gets to complain yet. =P

+1, any Americans who went out last night for some drinks pretty much only woke up to hear about the results. Rebroadcast would be nice.

embedded into the game, but they have to hit play and watch. Its not like its running in the background while people play or something.

I'm not bandwagoning at all, It's just fact that he calls nearly all players bad or "protoss", which is his standard response when artosis asks him what he thinks of certain protoss players You're saying he only said "Zerg isn't supposed to beat protoss" only because MC baited him, when he's said it a thousand other times :S
