From http://playhem.com/tourney/10401
1st and 2nd place finishers receive entry into the $100,000 IPL 3: Origins Championship bracket live in Atlantic City. Free flight, hotel room, and $1000 guaranteed at the event are included. Note: Unfortunately, residents of Vermont will be unable to participate in this tournament as wagering cash is illegal by state law.
Not sure why a 3/4 match was even scheduled when it has no significance? Prize money?
+ Show Spoiler +Either way, congratulations to Koreans. And commiserations to qxc and Sheth having sick runs but not quite making it.

So it is just part of a stock system rather than something that is generated to support your format?
If so, that makes a lot of sense and I guess we can just ignore it from the get go rather than being slightly curious. :D

Ah I see I see, so that means Sheth and QXC will have to retry their hands at qualifying :/ That sucks, but I hope they make it!

It seems like everyone who will get into the event through a qualifier will be Korean They are not area based, only our invites were based geographically. Also, having an event hosted in North America by default lends itself to more North American (and perhaps European) competitors, so we are glad to afford Koreans the chance to participate from their homes. Okay, understood.
I hope that some foreigners will make it through the online qualifiers, I hope to see QXC's epic comeback as s gosu

Excellent! I hope this means that brackets for the next 3 tournaments will be visible and update live? Personally, I very much enjoy watching brackets develop over the course of a tournament, much more exciting than just taking it in in one fell swoop.

Yup they will! We heard a lot of people requesting this, so we switched around how we were planning on rolling out our qualifier information!

I want those SlayerS team matches cast. Seeing Taeja v Ganzi today in Code A has made me hungry for the madness of SlayerS mirrors.
