Hi Everyone,

Please hold tight! As referenced in the posts above, we anticipated around 3-5x the number of participants in the tournament and we're getting around 20-25x as of now. Our dev team is working as fast as they can to remedy the situation. Right now, we're estimating about 20-30 minutes before the brackets generate. Please keep an eye on your email that you signed up with, as we will be updating you on the situation there as well as here. Again, thank you for everyones patience and support. We are still looking forward to an awesome night of competition!

this is scary for ipl qualifiers.......

Des, our intention with this was to load test our site in preparation for the qualifiers on the 20th. To say the least, that was certainly accomplished. Our dev team is working tirelessly, and we anticipate all of this to be sorted out tonight. Thanks again for your patience.

The IPL qualifiers requires a $20 buyin right? Doubt they'll have any problem with mass sign ups (and it's a good system too imo.)

Very sorry for this inconvenience guys. Everyone is working as fast as humanely possible to get things running smoothly and get the brackets created. As others have stated, this tournament is being used to test our mass bracket system and server capacity on a large scale before some of the big upcoming events (such as the IPL 3 Qualifiers) and obviously some work needs to be done/things need to be upgraded.

Please sit tight while our guys sort this out and wait for my email to let everyone know when the bracket has been created.

Are you able to tell us if the people who weren't able to Check-In will get another chance, or should I give up on the tournament? Either way, I'm not fussed; this is just information that I (and many others who weren't able to check-in) need to know.

Well you start out by simply emailing the guy who created a tournament and is devoting all of his energy into making this work for everyone. You tell him "Thanks for this nice tournament, sorry I bm'ed you on the forums trying to find this answer! GL on your tournament!" And there ya go, your out of the tournament this one guy is trying his best to help create.

If you havn't checked your email, lately, neebsaga at playhem.com Thats his email.
Team LiquidUnderneath it all they were really quite nice. They just got screwed up. Mostly by stuff that wasn't entirely their fault.

yea... nice tournament with 1hour 15min delay? + at least I'm asking how to pull out instead of going afk and having someone to wait 15min to take walk over over me but thanks for acting like a smart ass it was definitely needed. Now I know what I need to do.

a free entry 1000$ tournament is awesome no matter how late it is delayed. If you don't wanna play just don't show up for your first match, problem solved.

big ups to IPL & Playhem admins Neebsaga/Ben. its a success no matter how late its delayed

I'm sure they will resolve the issues and be awesome management site in the future.

I'm playing in another tournament now though, I really wanted to play in this, why not just reschedule... its gonna be getting late to try to do 5 rounds tonight lol.

or this

And I didn't mean that a 1k $ tournament isn't awesome but when you start at 8:30PM well for east coast anyway and u get it delayed by 1hour it ends up pretty late =/

Desrow usually you cannot pull out of a tourney once checkin is over because the brackets are being generated then.

There is a leave button on the tournament player lists page but it is greyed out.

Also, if you read the OP they said this tournament is being held to test their system before IGN tourney. As it turns out it is good that they decided to test it.

The site seems like a new startup and this is their first big tournament and they have some issues to sort out.

While they are trying to improve things, we can help by being patient.

Guys,

We totally understand your frustration. Good news is the brackets are up! Please click refresh if they are not displaying for you. Good luck to all those competing!!

The bad news is we unfortunately do not have a way to add people who did not check-in in time. We realize that most of you we're not able to due to site performance issues. To remedy the situation, please email me at Rdesanto@playhem.com and we will deposit $5 into your account to make up for you time lost. I know it isn't much, but it is the best we can do.

Sincerely, we thank you all for your patience.

I totally understand that the site is new and there are bugs you have to work out. However, I'm disappointed that there wasn't a backup plan when you anticipated this to happen. I really hope you have a better plan in the future.

The upload replay doesn't seem to complete. Also, why does playhem perpetually beep while the page is open. I always have to close the page during my games.

It would be cool if the brackets were ctrl+f'able. Pretty hard to find yourself on such a large bracket.
