Effectiveness of thors? Pretty much did nothing.
Don't understand this style :S?
It was more of a timing a attack than a style but lucky's poking lings spotted the thors and got into jinro's base. It was a pretty sloppily executed attack, jinro should've hid his stuff better. If lucky didn't scout it at that moment Jinro would've won pretty easily.
I don't get why he kept making thors after Lucky had a sizable roach force though.
It's super hard to switch into anything else at that point, if he had started making barracks then he wouldn't have had enough to defend the roaches and lucky could've just out expanded him even more. The other critical moment is when Lucky caught Jinro's unsieged tanks and killed ALL his thors and tanks. He looked to be in a decent position even after that failed first push. Once he had a critical amount of tanks he could've split the map. But yeah, I don't think I've seen a terran win with mech on this map yet.

You are talking about Blizzcon Invitational, right? Thorzain were not at Assembly :D

With brood lords you're only going to assault the enemy through the center of the map. They're so slow and take up so much supply that Zerg likely has few options for defense. With large numbers of brood lords they probably won't have a big muta ball anymore so drops would be much more effective. I think this is why MMA is so good at TvZ, his excessive drop play makes it impossible for Zerg to put together a big full supply push with brood lords, corrupters, and infestors.
Probably wouldn't have helped Jinro too much in that last game since he went full mech but if he had marines/medivacs with his tanks he could force back the zerg push with drops.
Just my 2 cents, I'm getting depressed watching Terran try and fight brood lord/infestor with no ghosts.
Could work.
I figured out after a while that PvZ, you could deal with brood lords by blinking around singing trololo sniping base after base, throwing 10 DTs in his main the second he moved out, even using VRs to do some damage in weird places.
Even 20 brood lords and 20 infestors suck if there are no hatches behind to remax. He snipes one of your bases, you snipe five of his.
It however does not always work, and being caught out of position just once means you're dead.
Casters between game bantering is starting to wear on me after three days of it. (Yes, I realize there's a different caster today, but it's the same sort of thing.)

Odds of that happening is 0.
yep jinro can't win a code A spot, only people who don't live in korea can...
Nope. Everyone who is not send to an mlg directly by the gsl (into pool play) can.
Even like Choya who was sent by FXO can't make it since they're Korean, confirmed a while ago
The FXO thing is weird IMO since they're part korean part international now, so it's hard to differentiate since FXO "Korea" and FXO are technically the same thing.

boxer/Ganzi would have all gotten code A spots if this were the case. (although coincidentally they all qualified through the code A qualifiers) Wrong. DRG/
The rule is top 3 foreigners are allowed to have a Code A seed. I'm sure foreigner includes any living in Korea.
Foreigners living in Korea don't count as "foreigners" for the MLG slots
Yes they do. MLGLee defined it as any foreigner not on a Korean team.
Jinro need some ghosts to win that game. however he committed too much to his first attack with thors/hellion(which was scouted), got behind macro-wise, tanks saves him and got him back into the game, no resources/didnt switch to ghosts, lost. End of story.

Hell no, he'll be back better than ever.
Dream on. If he get raped by a player like Lucky, he will never ever manage to qualify for CodeA again. He hasn't even managed to get out of the Open Bracket @MLG.
Alicia didn't either. He's sick atm, he'll do better soon.
