Moonan, Thorzain, Nerchio all win. Tzain with the 2-0, the rest went to the rubbers.

Ret made so many mistakes losing zerglings and mutas this game, but he's pretty ahead still currently..
Select won't be able to get a 4th and mutas just keep growing Ret was never ahead that game. I have no idea what you think you were seeing. Ret was throwing away so many mutas. I made that post pretty early in the game (before he lost his two 4ths). It really seemed that if he defended those and that push in the 4 o'clock with more banelings, he would have come out ahead easily.
well also taldarim is only "zerg" favored in cross positions which I did not see either game so unless they were in those positions its not zerg favored at all.

Boxer, Nada, MKPrime, and Select all give me nerd chills when on their best game, and really disappoint when not. 100% agree with this :D Go select!

Select is playing right into Rets style this time it seems.

Select letting ret mass drone on cross shakuras
He has already lost unless Ret massively fucks up.
|
Ret's in unstoppable mode :S If Select can pull a win now, it'd be awesome. But both players are playing so good right now :D Great games.
|
I'm not sure SeleCT really knows how to pull apart Ret's style, he's getting shut down pretty hard.

You should appreciate his awesome decision making and positioning which makes him able to compete at this level despite his lack of mechanics. what part of his "awesome decision making" did you see on display tonight? hes like a worse terran version of cruncher. cruncher at least tries to get better and improve his mechanics. everything ive seen goody do i feel like i can do with a few days of practice even though i dont play terran. that last game might be him playing unusually poor but that was like diamond level he got up to 1k minerals during his harass in the early game. sorry thats just terrible to me. http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-international/players/1221_GoOdy#tblt-5735-1-1-DESCScroll through that; check out some of his results and the players he has beaten. He isn't some scrub that you can imitate with "a few days of practice". Show a little bit of respect please. He has beaten huge names like Ret, Strelock, Nestea, CatZ and more; i am not saying he is the best Terran but he has a unique style that needs to be recognised. Plus, losing to Nerchio is no disgrace yup youre right hes a pro and hes got a style and i cant imitate him with a few days practice but i dont like his style of play and while i havent seen every single one of his games i have seen quite a few games and in the ones ive seen his mechanics are terrible (bad macro most of the time, something like 2k minerals with low gas that couldve been hellions, queuing up tons of scvs, getting supply blocked) i guess im too much of a bw elitist but its hard for me to think someone is good when hes so lacking in basics. he does find a way to win games/tournies though so many i just miss him when hes playing his best. He was B+ iccup, mister elitist.

Doesn't matter. Select has lost already unless he takes a 4th right now.
Ret and a-move with brood lords and lings and win.

Ultras was an interesting choice, wouldn't be surprised to see him just not really use it.
Ret has a commanding lead
|
So terrifying to see what a zerg can do off this kind of economy. Select's strength (finessing multiple drops/skirmishes) is not favored here. Needs a concentrated Thorzain push.
|
lol Ret wasn't microing his infestors at all - doesn't matter
|
oh wow ret spent over twice as many resources.
|
great play by both players 3 good games

Yes, agreed, SeleCT is a very very active Terran with his drops and multi but Ret's style lends him so much flexibility and defense against that style of play, at least from Medvacs. SeleCT would probably find more success using Hellions instead of 8 'rine drops.

Jesus, who chose these maps.... Feel kinda bad for select

I want to see Ret vs ThorZaiN !!!

Even though Ret was in a commanding position in game 1 and 3 his unit control really made me cringe. In game 1 those mutas just sacrificed themselves over a control group of marines and then that infestor control at the end of game 3 makes me want to scream haha
Overall though he played well against SeleCT (who is awesome!) so a great result for Ret

terminus
KR - TvZ: 20-9 (69%)
Int - TvZ: 64-77 (45.4%)
Nothing to do with balance, just foreign terran don't know how to play macro games against Zerg.
