Cant believe theres so much hate in these threads while we're so blessed with a wonderful event, with wonderful games. Last warning, whine and insult the players or commentators? See you.

The days of Idra and Co are coming to an end. They simply don't have it to make it to the top lvl of this game.
Incontrol, Machine, Idra etc are good players but they need to step it up if they want to compete. Its either that or stick to charging lessons for $30 an hour on the streams
QxC, HuK and Naniwa has potential out of all the foreigners to make it as top class pros, and to be honest if you want to make it you gonna have to move to Korea and play in the toughest league to do it.Its not a race thing its a skill thing.
It's ridiculous to lump Idra with machine and incontrol and you know it. Idra was the best foreigner at the last MLG and nani won his MLG when the competition was much worse. Why can Idra not adapt and get better but QxC who isn't even in Code A yet can? Use some actually arguments instead of generalizations.

I would bet that he was invited but turned it down to focus on Code S.
Hope this explains my statement:-
Idra needs to QQ less or switch to Terran. He is slowly slipping down the pecking order of top players. His greatest strength is his macro\mechanics, but the rest of the pack has caught up in that respect. Struggling against players like Cruncher etc in recent tournaments simply shouldn't happen> The new EG training house may help, but the fact the he is training with Incontrol or Machine is hardly going to improve him
The reason i like QxC is that i actually think he has the ability to succeed. All he needs is the training and some discipline in his game. He says himself he is his own worst enemy sometimes with his all out aggression.
As far as the game is going its evolving into broodwar , where skill and refined build orders dominate.
What on earth was TLO doing against Sheth when he got 2-0ed . It was almost embarrassing to watch, thought I was watching a beta game from 1 year ago. Sheth had a slow overlord floating about his base 8 mins into the game for ages for example. TLO may have injurie issues and lack of practice but he should have 2 raxxed Sheth in both game and at least looked like a pro

Yeah Idra is obviously better than machine and incontrol but he's not doing any better vs koreans, and at this point beating some foreigners is really only gonna get him 10th place or so wirh more and more koreans coming over. These are Idra's last 15 games vs koreans L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L Yup, 15 losses in a row to koreans. His skill is becoming irrelevant at this point.
WTF are you talking about, IdrA had MMA BEATEN!! And we all know it! And IdrA has also beaten SlayerS_Boxer before!! Look it up!
Idra nearly took a game off MMA, therefore Idra can hold his own versus Koreans?
I am a bit of a noob to the Pro SC2 scene but I have been playing StarCraft since 2004. But I haven't seen many other NA players beat a guy like MMA (even though IdrA left the game).
I really just want something to look forward to, I will always follow SC but I may have some false hopes for IdrA because I want SO BAD for a NA player to be a top 10 SC2 player in the world.
This is what Idra had to say at Anaheim about NA players in SC2 .
Idra ripped cruncher apart this MLG. I don't think he will ever win anything major because he lives in NA but I think he can still finish among the top foreigners in any tournament he enters.
Man I get the feeling of disenchantment some people have because the top 6 were Korean. It is tough to not see some of our favorite foreigners go for those top spots.
But GODDAMN those matches were amazing. We got to watch what was tantamount to a complete revolution to the TvT metagame LIVE, and being proctored by THE FREAKING EMPEROR.
Loved it, love MLG, great weekend of viewing. Fantastic product.
Well IdrA said he and his team are going to start working and training a lot harder now. Maybe we will see results, maybe he will get to the next level.

Me too. Fungal vs Terran is so deadly, it seriously drives me crazy on ladder, I get so demoralized when my whole fucking army gets fungaled when I'm about to launch an attack.

Destiny goes always infestor play, you saw him only reach the round 4 in brackets. I don't mean by no means anything bad I think it was really good to reach so far but I mean I think it's better to stay standard with what works then sometimes do something else, feels like once you "figure" out when playing against infestor it becomes very easy. But I'm no zerg player so what do I know.

I thought there was even more (actual) epicness and drama compared to previous MLGs. More Koreans = higher level of competition, more innovation, and the added drama of Koreans vs Foreigners and it doesn't even have to be some superficial and fake drama like the whole MC vs IdrA thing a while ago. Some of those TvT sets were absolutely ridiculous this weekend. I would MUCH rather see that than questionable play from "fan favorites." And yes...there was a self kill cc lol.

All this "booo Koreans took top 6" stuff is really saddening

What the hell are you talking about? IdrA never beat Boxer, Boxer is 4-0 vs IdrA in tournament (he has never played IdrA in a Korean tournament, only international). Perhaps you should actually look up statisticss before you tell other people to. IdrA may have beaten Boxer on ladder on his stream or something, but who the fuck cares about who beats who on ladder? Tournaments are what matters and Boxer has never lost even a game, let alone a BoX tp IdrA in atournaments.
And IdrA "had MMA beaten" because MMA accidentaly killed his own command center, doesn't say much for IdrA's skill compared to MMA if that is the only way he "had MMA beaten," and hell IdrA still managed to lose that game.
IdrA may be a good player, but if you are going to defend IdrA as a great player, please use actual arguments in his favor. Don't use arguments that are just straight up false ("IdrA has beaten Boxer"-which is false) or stupid; saying IdrA had MMA beat in a game in which MMA killed his own Command Center

Oh please. Barely any foreigners have notable personalities either. They're a bunch of nerds, of course they aren't going to had notable personalities on stage. The few that do are either 1) IdrA and thus very obnoxious or 2) just have some kind of personality because they speak at least a noteworthy amount of English. Korean players have just as much personality, but you don't see it if you don't follow the Korean scene that much and because they don't speak English.

Of course I was trolling. It's just that I'm sick of the "Koreans have no personality" point that a lot of the people who don't want Koreans at foreigner events bring up. If they're not acting like assholes or professional wrestlers they clearly don't have any personality. It's like people don't care about the quality of the games, they just want drama.
