Take players like DDE,sixjaxMajor I would say atm they are some of the top dogs in NA however they had really hard bracket and DDE eventually got knocked out by Demuslim and Major got knocked out by White-ra So you see we got 2 of the best NA players atm not gaining any points and then we got players like Drewbie machine Incontrol getting more points by going 0-10? You see its unfair and its hurting the viewers becuase next MLG ill have to watch Drewbie,Machine,Incontrol getting crushed again and players like DDE and major are left out. Didn't you see nazgul's post? Top NA players who qualified from open bracket like Tyler and Cruncher got destroyed in the pool play as well just like Drewbie Machine and Incontrol did. Major didn't even get through pool play. How can you assume that Major is worse than the pool players who went 0-5 or 1-4. It is very very hard to even win a single game in pool play. Look at who the pool players are playing and who major are playing. Anyone can go 0-5 or 1-4 in pool play and that does not mean they are bad. Yes open bracket is very tough. Dde and demuslim is good. But it is not nearly as tough as pool play. You see Select getting wrecked in his group? And his group is still reasonably easier than Group A. You think Select is worse than Major? I read it and he got some points however Major did really well last MLG got top 10 but this time he he was unlucky and had a hard open bracket. Can you tell me how its fair that Drewbie gets more point then major or DDE for that matter What would happend if Rain/Ganzi ran into eachother in the open bracket? one of them would get eliminated. I strongly disagree that pool play its harder then open bracket.
It is fair because Drewbie has had good placing before. The national championship last year and dallas ( he placed even higher than major did). So that is why had higher points and was put in a more privileged position. He has had good placing more than once.
Last MLG, major got more points than drewbie. If he had been able to emulate that a few more times , then he will kick drewbie out deservedly. He didn't.
I think our argument is just about the relative difficulty of open bracket and pool play. I feel that winning open bracket is easier than winning even a game in pool play and you obviously thought otherwise so let's agree to disagree.

If I were to predict the group standings I would have been almost 100% correct. Koreans dominating followed by the usual "good" foreigners with the "lesser" foreigners taking the bottom slots.
I really hope we have some surprises comming up today. Its kinda sad when everything goes as predicted.
Well if you go by this DRG was supposed to finish 3rd in his group, and Boxer 4th so those are big upsets, no? :p
LOL!

No vods from day2 yet? Would love to see the whitera drewbie game.

Has anyone been able to find the VOD for the Tyler-DRG match?

There will be none. There are only VODs for casted games and they made a stupid decision to cast the Ret vs Rain game last night instead, "because the results mattered more". We'll never see those games, now that they don't even release replays.

Umm... Casting Ret vs Rain was a "stupid decision" ...? Ret vs Rain decided who wins the pool in question. + The actual games were insanely good.
Tyler got rolled by everyone in the group.

And nothing of value was lost. Sucks for DDE though, I actually like his playstyle.

The result was already predictable and the games were sloppy. Did anyone really think Ret would win? He only went 3-0 in the group because he played the 2 Koreans last.
|
Ret vs Rain were very good games, I just watched them.
Today is gonna be madness !!

Rain is just killing it, so happy to see him proving the naysayers wrong!
Fighting!

Hope to see MVP in the finals he always gives good games.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

Umm. Ret played really well actually, he played amazingly compared to every other zerg in the tourny against that new style. Did anyone think Tyler would've won? Tyler was 0-8. DRG was 8-1. I think that game was a little bit more predictable.
