For those who haven't seen our schedule, we are taking a break from broadcasting IPL 2 after today. We will be back next Thursday with more games!

Day9's guest cast isn't too far away.

LOL, when i saw Day 9 in the title I thought Day[9] was casting this! xD
I am really enjoying the cast. One thing that bothers me is during some of the broadcasts you have the top ten, then right after you have a game that was featured in the top ten!!! I don't even... Other than that, been having a good time watching the games!
GOGO Tarson, You can do it!
Thanks for the link to the schedule! It makes everything slightly easier to follow.
Drewbie vs Cloud! Should be good.
Ouch! That first game ended really quickly - Cloud really should have built that bunker like Painuser said.

That was a fast game 1. Expected a longer TvT...

first game wasn't =(
I figured I'd stay up for some IPL, don't disappoint me players xD
Uh oh - Drewbie's using the same build again. Cloud might fall to the same push again :o(.
EDIT: Nvm, tank saves Cloud.
Has PainUser retired from playing? Just curious.
Hmmmm. Why does Cloud keep making Banshees? They don't seem to be all that effective...
Thank you for taking a break though, i'm honestly going to die by trying to watch MLG and GSL as it is!
being in australia sucks for MLG
Wow that was a crazy engagement there by Drewbie. How did he manage to take out Cloud's entire army?
Wow, that was quite a turnaround. Very nice engagement by Drewbie, although quite sloppy by Cloud. Was a combination of both that allowed it.

I KNEW Drewbie had it in him... He's much more solid than people think!!
AND TASTOSIS IS HERE!!! And perfect for a nice PvT!
too bad the video is blurred/interlaced/whatever... fix it please ...
Excellent - we have a game 3 between relatively evenly matched players. Nightend's storms at the end were pretty brutal.
Nightend: HAVE FUN
He knows what's up.
Oh yes - Tarson kiting the Nexus :o).
What happen? I had to go for a minute after Tarson's banshees were deflected and NightEnd had his gold base running.
I came back and Tarson won?
Just attacking into a bad position there for NightEnd which just killed that game. If the tank at the Xel'Naga dies, maybe it's a different story. Too bad.

I came back and Tarson won? bad engagement by Night End. his immortals weren't focusing on the tanks and his zealots were stuck behind other units.

I came back and Tarson won?
Nightend engaged rather poorly at the xel'naga, didn't kill a single tank, zealots stuck in the back and Tarson targetted down the immortals.
Btw: Why does IPL have this funny bracket, where have one "tune" leading to the winner of a matchup and than another one to the next matchup? A bit unnecessary and confusing ^^.
LaLush <3
PS - Can we put together a fund to offer HD speech classes? I'll donate $20. Serious. PainUser is legit, he needs a better partner.
Con Ed > whatever the hell they're reppin'~
It looks like a simple enough ID but Lalush is actually impossible to pronounce.
what up with the old version of shakuras -.-
God, old Shakura's is soooo bad. ._.
Is it actually supposed to be pronounced like "Lay-lush?" i just got back so I missed it if they talked about the pronunciation.
also, lalush seems to be engaging in terrible places, but i guess on old shakuras there isn't really a good place...
Lalush is going to snap
This is idra vs cruncher again lol
Wow so biased. Lalush attacked an expansion with a handful of roaches and all of his corruptors right into a bunch of static defense... there was no colossus around, they were across the map. Lalush just had terrible multi-tasking... macro alone wont win

He's also playing against a skilled protoss on a horrendous old version of a map. Very, very difficult to beat protoss on old Shakuras.

I honestly think he would've won if he just rushed to Hive on 4 bases after deflecting the Stargate play. Then he could just push wherever he wanted to and lol at the colossi and stalkers.

Gas steal is ridiculous in ZvP pretty much forces a forge immediately.

I'm just a lowly Diamond protoss, but I don't see why the gas steal would have such a large effect. I assume this is only when the Protoss is going for some kind of sentry expand because you can't get the gas fast enough for sentry production?
He had more than enough time and minerals to prevent the gas steal by just putting his 2nd assimilator down himself...guess that's not something you experience a lot when training with eG zergs.
could you answer me who won the game and on which map?
was afk for some minutes :/
On July 29 2011 11:00 Kiarip wrote: Gas steal is ridiculous in ZvP pretty much forces a forge immediately.
If you have any intention of doing any kind of expand build, you need to get both assimilators asap, even if you just collect from one, for the very reason we just saw. A lot of the Korean toss, and HuK, have been dropping both assimilators to prevent the steal.

all protoss builds need fast 2 gasses to be safe for when you expand. If you're not able to get the second gas fast your going to need a forge to survive the unscoutable all-ins.

Quick win for LaLush. Gas steal into ling all-in with poor play from Axslav.
BratOk's positioning is very creative and well-thought out here.

thank you very much

is there a reason why so much content is getting repeated? I am not talking about the EU rebroadcast. bratok vs darkforce and many other games were already shown. i mean if i am in the mood to check out some VODs i will gladly do it. but i dont see why it should be on the offical iplign content all over again on a "live broadcast/stream"
Anyone have the results from the first 3 matches?
Ugh I just got home. Can someone fill me in on who won the previous series? The OP has not been updated.

The 'new' matches are shown according to this schedule here: http://www.ign.com/ipl/starcraft2/calendar. Whenever 'live' or 'new' broadcasts are not occurring, old matches during qualifying or what not are showed. Maybe the two of them played in qualifying against each other.
if anyone could spoil the results in a spoiler would be awesome!
Seriously who came up with the idea for this overlay at the top? It looks so bad compared to any overlay I've ever seen. Way too complicated.

Have to commend darkforce on that sexy creep spread on the map :D
As for the results; i could be wrong but i think something like
+ Show Spoiler +drewbie > cloud Tarson > nightend Lalush > Axslav

Man, as a zerg, I think the only unit that can break the corruptor/broodlord/infestor combo is the ghost.
So hard to deal with.

hmm yea it's a little ridiculous, especially now that many maps are so big. it's pretty easy to get to hive tech as zerg, if you begin the game with that intention -- that zerg's midgame is still pretty effective without broodlords makes it that much easier.
it would be a lot more reasonable if fungal couldn't affect air, or something of that nature. as long as it's possible for one or two lucky fungals (in conjunction with corruptors) to wreck a fleet of vikings, terran doesn't have much of a counter to infestor, broodlord, corruptor.

Damn this game is pretty good.
I really have this love/hate thing with wheat; "There's another pack in the back!" or: "Tjirning out tanks" haha :D
edit: ah was rooting for DF.
Great game there by BratOk. His contain was really really strong and he moved in at just about the right moment.
Well I'm glad Brat_OK won, but that wasn't his best play by any stretch. He did make some good decisions, but the final defense by DarkForce was poorly done by Brat_OK.

You mean "Churning" out tanks?
but yeah, those games were pretty amazing.

I haven't really being following the IPL, but I'm curious how the IPL has 10k viewers but a 4 page thread for a day's series. Are a lot of those viewers not on TL? Do Sc2 fans also not realize Live reporting is a great source for a high post count lol.

I've always wondered about this as well, are people being linked to the stream from IGN's site? Seems like the IPL has some great games with great players and amazing production but the LR threads are always like 8 pages long at best. So weird.

I think it's mainly a product of two factors:
- English casters - Relatively low-hype (compared to GSL, MLG, TSL, or of course OSL/MSL/SPL), at least on TL

Drewbie getting more revenge against Europe Nice going!!

i think there is something wrong with fungal killing 15 vikings before they can even move, hopefully more people experiment with ghosts
