Thank you all for coming and participating/cheering for your self or your favorite player. The finals came down to VTAvilo vs REQtheognis aka the original gangster (maybe not). It was an Epic TvT with REQtheognis coming in on top to take the 125$ top prize and ending VTavilo's reign on the local dc tourneys. A full recap will be put in soon on the website with pictures, make sure to come by!
The DC mEtRo area iS ONE of the biggest sc2 communities in my opinion. So it deserves a website for its stimmed community full of friends, adversary, stalkers, sentries, and lurkers. Because lets face it, we are the best community within a community.
To jumpstart http://dcsc2.com/ I am organizing an open tournament in August Which will have a prize pool of 200$ or more depending on the number of people WhO participate.
How to register Please go to the tournament page and leave a comment at the End of the page. Be sure to include your battle.net identifier, race, and rank. http://dcsc2.com/?p=63
The tournament if all goes well will Start on Monday, Aug 08 5:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) online with the finals being played at
Netolic PC Game Zone 7409 Little River Tpke #C Annandale, VA 22003.
Event starts at 1 pm or when everyone shows up
If you would like to contribute to the website and or tournament, please PM me.
Good Luck Have Fun

Sign up anyway, It will start with groups and not all matches have to be played right away. It is going to be more of a week or so tournament with the finals on a Saturday or Sunday. It is still the beginning and dates are tentative

Just saying - as co-host of the Luckyfool/Torenhire LANs - I've met Maka a couple times and he's totally legit. Good luck with the site and the tournament, and let me know if you need help running things, as all local organizers know.
Excited to see the new LAN center!!

Nope doesn't watch much sc2 either.
toren more of a broodwar guy I think but still stays involved in the community and helps out where he can with sc2 which rocks. I'd never be able to play in my lans without his help. :D

I watched the TSL finals, and the only GSL I remember watching was to watch Jinro play, and MKP vs MVP finals...don't really watch much else - I'm more of a community helper when it comes to SC2, I love watching BW a lot more than SC2 at the moment, so I stick to that. ^^
Still, let me know if you need help with anything - while I don't really play or watch, I can still do all the boring other stuff that no one ever sees. :p

Would you like a special BW section on dcsc2? I bet there are still nerds who still play that game
