Byun was runner-up to TOP. Bomber would have been Code A champ vs Code A champ, but he choked.

Yup, and many people don't realise that GOM's business model is completely different from events like MLG and DH.

He won 28 of them. That's a 77% win rate. He is the sitting Code S champion. He has not dropped a single set this tournament. That's something you tell a girl on a first date to get it in. ![]() I haven't dropped a single game this entire tournament but I'd throw a whole set for you, baby.

What? 80% win rate MC PvP Rather he choked. His PvZ is certainly stronger than Honguns though. His PvZ win ratio is actually around 65%ish same as hongunprime. The thing is there is no toss in korea that I think have a 70%+ in any matchup other than mirror(MC/Inca). The race is just too easy to die now days. AS soon as zerg learns about the void+pheonix and how to deal with colossus. There isn't much toss can do except 6 gate blink all day long. There is basically no hope for toss in korea the way I see it. MC is not doing well, Alicia can't even get in Code S. Sage is not even in code A(I believe). Huk is mehish. I mean he had trouble against moon which is not even a code A zerg what would happen if you match him up against code S zergs or even good code A zergs like leenock. These days it is just depressing watching PvZ that why I pretty much stopped watching GSL. Oh come on man, every protoss defeat comes from a mistake or being outplayed. There's is a future for Protoss and it's bright. Bomber took a long time to get into Code A, DRG isn't in it, Sage isn't in it. Nothing about the race, just the Code A qualifiers are pretty damn hard. Puzzle won Code A recently, to another Protoss (Tassadar). Went pretty far in this GSL: Huk (lost PvP) Tester (2-3 against a top top ZvP player) Hongun (0-3 against a very superior opponent) MC (lost PvP) Genius (lost 0-2 against a better player) Still in Code S (incl above players): Alicia (What the hell are you talking about? Sent MKP to the up/downs and lost to Coca in two matches where he played really... meeh?) SangHo (Lost to fucking Polt and HUK) In the up/downs: anypro Tassadar iNca

He's dropped atleast 3 games in season 2 against MKP, he lost to San and Ensnare in GSL March, he lost against Dimaga in the WC, he lost against TOP in the WC. There are people sitting in the lobby to watch the game. I don't see how you can compare MLG and NASL to the GSL. Those first two happen, what, six times a year? GSL is five times a week. There is probably 100+ people at the GOM studio today. That's really awesome. The finals will probably get many people as well.

The GSL finals are taken to a much larger studio and get much larger crowds. People need to stop looking at the crowds and look at sponsors. GSL is getting some big name sponsors and accord to John they are bidding to become the primary sponsor. If the GSL was doing bad I doubt you'd see sponsors like this showing up to support it.
