Well terrans use like 6 scans a game on banelings which is like a grand in minerals, you gotta figure its useful at some point in time right? Even if you have to make more than one?

The problem with a Raven in the scenario Byun was in was that the first thing you do is stim and run your marines back to deal with it asap and they outpace your Raven so fast that you're playing "blind" very quickly again. If you wait on the Raven your opponent gets more free damage at the location they're attacking.
I do agree a Raven with the main army is something that looks very likely to have to be implemented though, if Z continue to use burrow so effectively it's just going to become seriously cost ineffecient to not get one.

If Byun was smart, he'd construct 10-20% of a bunker with the uninjured SCV then stop and construct the other bunker to fully wall LosirA in before the creep stopped him. Then use the SCVs he bought up to finish the first bunker. Take out the hatch the send the SCVs home and throw down a command centre and continue rallying marines.

So you make it a habit to keep your Ravens alone? You don't think that all of Byun's Thors and marines could have killed all his mutas in the 1/2 shots the mutas needed to be directly over Byun's entire army? I'd trade a raven for 20+ mutas.

No, he's not sloppy because he knows he can trade when up in economy and banking more minerals.

Losira had more drones and supply than Byun after killing those SCVs. Also he had Zergling speed. Byun also had nothing but the two raxes.

You can't really say they aren't worth it, there's a lot of unexplored tactics that were listed as worthless before but now they are getting more and more popular.
Just cuz something isn't used that much doesn't mean it isn't potentially good.

People saying about ravens Vs Mutas. I know HSM's suck, but against a zerg just A-Moving Muta's a HSM could really screw your day up. They stack up when moving, If nothing the HSM would cause them to disperse.
