Yeah against losira who's bad at ZvT...

I just realized that this is the first time in GSL history we have two zergs in the final four!
|
I hope the final will be nestea vs byun. Anything else is going to be either boring or one sided.
|
Artosis trying to lay the curse on nestea at the end there.. will we have an IM zerg finals or a Nestea v Byun lol.
Just shut ur mouth artosis!
ZvZ is the only matchup we haven't had for a finals in either code a or s.

Nestea get the easiest way to the final after beating July, hope Hongun stand up for protoss

Sitting back on turtling when you're down 50scvs probably isn't the best idea either. It's a clutch call and it didn't pay off. If it had people would be calling him a genius. Accept he lost the game and move on; there is no right decision in that situation. He won't be in a good position at all, but he has a very big army so that byun can't move out without being super careful and slow so that alone will buy him enough time. Also harder for byun to take a 4th in that situation so it's not like he's gonna be jumping ahead in economy once they both mine out their main and natural. Like tastosis said he actually did end up catching back up in scvs very quickly but just didn't have the army to defend. I wouldn't have minded if he lost regularly, but that was a huge choke and totally impatient move by bomber there to attack into sieged tanks rather than at least try to take out byuns 3rd again or catch them out of siege. That was nearly the best engagement he could have hoped for. If he waited longer his army wouldn't be that much bigger and Byun would be maxed and moved out into a better position. That's just not true because bomber had a near maxed army before he lost scvs so the only hit was to his economy. It was actually the worst engagement he could ask for, byun was well sieged, had maximum vision, and had all his siege tanks there ready. You don't want to attack into a near maxed mech army full of siege tanks even if you're well spread.
Byun has no choice to move out slowly even though he would have had a huge economic lead, you just can't rush into a maxed marauder sieged army and plan on remaxing while the other guy can't because they'll be 20x more cost efficient and have so much left over to roll you with.

He has never been seen since. And I think it was 2 games in a row he lost to it.

Can someone please explain to me what the deal with Hongun is? Did you watch him in the earlier seasons? He was such an enthusiastic little nerd with a huge ripe banana grin in all his interviews. Now he seems so angry all the time. When he won his ro4 victory he was completely stone faced. It's like he doesn't even want to be there.

And Zenio...who was his first match. He was guaranteed 1 Z and 1T.

The point being that there's not much reason to say Byun will do better vs Losira than Bomber given Bomber has such a good record against him.

True that, I need to look up the GSTL roster change situation to know whether he can play in the second half of the GSTL for Zenex or not.

He still plays, shows up in some EU cups and is on a Spanish team now. Qualfified for some Spanish dreamhack qualifiers recently etc.

His wrist is severely injured. He said in his interviews that he thought about retiring/quitting, but since so many people want to be in Code S, that he will play until he loses.
And he just continues to win.

I'm surprised that everyone is so sure of themselves what the results will be of the semis, especially considering how many upsets there have been. Heck, I don't think anyone expected Trickster to do as well as he did against Losira or Byun to actually defeat Bomber or HongUn to actually defeat MC.
Hell, from an spectator who has no fan bias, this tournament has been absolutely phenomenal so far in storylines (HongUn with his injury and Byun with his Dog, LOL); of course for fans of the established gamers, it sucks.

It's like he doesn't even want to be there. He's in constant pain due to wrist injury. Pain makes one very edgy, not to mention the injury is preventing him from practicing like he wants, which makes him frustrated. At least that's why I think he's not happy lately despite his results.

Kind of tired of all the "bad ZvT comments" for losira at this point. He beat TOP 2-1, and beat TOP before that 3-1 in the SAGACity invitationals, the TOP that took out nestea last season. It's not his best matchup, but it's not like he'll get rolled by any mid code S terran. You have to be one of the best TvZers like sC and even though I like byuns style, nothing gives me the sign to show that zenio's ZvT is better than Losira's.

I believe in the interview after beating Zenio, he said that he was getting tired of Progaming because he never makes it to finals and also because of his wrist injury. He also said he was thinking about retiring at some stage soon and pursuing another career. I think he is just getting tired of it, but in his interview after he took out MC, he seemed to be a bit happier and maybe coming around again if he can have a good showing in this GSL

I think that the storyline here will make it great. LosirA vs NesTea would actually be the Master vs Apprentice story with a lot of tension.
NesTea working on claiming his 3rd title and establish himself as the best player in the world and Losira as the upcoming zerg who wants his first title.
