Bomber had no detection and 5marines, and Polt's 2 cloak banshee managed to kill 3 marines. Meanwhile polt had 6 or so marines. with good split micro you could take minimal loses, while doing huge dmg to the other player, coming out even. instead he did no dmg and lost everything.
Bomber had a turret in his mineral line. 6 marines are take quite a while to kill with good micro, even harder when you have 4 bfh in your mineral line.

No, you cant not kill all the scv with ONE banshee, Polt know that, remember that Bomber lost nothing vs the first banshee, and he may still have scan, cos he will save energy on OC.
I think Polt didn't notice the medivac which just went pass his banshee. If he saw that he would have turned it back. And you can also notice that he didn't react untill medivac was in base and dropping hellions.
If he saw the medivac he will pull his marine earlier and spread his scv better.

I agree, I just don't find Helions to be a fun unit. Vultures make for much more interesting micro battles. Since we can't have that Marines are the next best thing.

But in game 2 Polt played bad I admit. His first banshee should have killed all the marines and then dominate everything, in that position Bomber would have cleaned the whole marine + scvs with his banshee.

In this kind of top player vs top player. There is no way anyone will build a bunker at the mineral lines.
'Cos: 1. Polt didn't know about the blue flame.
2. High level players want to cut corner so they can be ahead in econ. You can see that they build the least turret vs banshee as possible while a diamond league will build 4 turret for just one banshee.

Hongun isn´t really champion material yet imo. However I think Byun will atleast make it to top 4 and if he has he has the right momentum he´ll hopefully win the whole thing. Don´t know how good his TvP is but he has sick ZvT and TvT.

I would be more surprised if he actually DOES beat top terrans, they are overalls more strongly represented in korea.
NesTea is lucky the top ones knocked themselves out.

Could the top half of next week's bracket be any more one sided?
MC (79% PvP) vs Hongun (0% PvP) and Nestea (88% ZvZ) vs Coca (0%). These matches will show us whether the non TvT mirror matchups are as coinflippy as some people say they are.
