By staying at home until "you're ready"? Honestly if you care about being good you should take your beatings, thats how competitive gaming goes, you don't just enter a tourney and "get it" even the first place guy got his rapings at one point. Haha I know, I played a toronto-area BW tournament back in the day, and beat people up until I got to lose to JF, despite only being D+. It's an unwise investment because I don't really play SC2 competitively . Nobody does, not even JF. We all either work or go to school, it's just a hobby.

starcraft 2 north appreciates the constructive criticism we have been getting. We are new to the scene and we're learning from our mistakes. We find it pointless to bash or project , it would be better if u pointed out where we could improve and hopefully attract you to our next event. We're not just here for one tournament our main goal is to push e-sports in toronto first then canada we have a lot of talent here going to waste.
Thank you

Toronto has so much talent that is unseen and unknown. We're here to make you'll shine. Let's all work together to promote and grow e-sports in Canada. The negative feedback in regards to the buy-in is understandable, but you must understand ScN is not profiting. We are trying to make a good event for now and forever. Practice makes perfect, think of this as the practice, before making GM.
Thanks,
Starcraft2North (ScN) Management

Is there no website for registration/info?

Having never been to the place before, I'm just wondering if competitors will be in another room while the casting is going on or what the layout of the place is that will facilitate having a caster.

Icons of Vanity will be sending out toronto native Polishcheese(iovPOLISH) to tackle the tournament. Good luck to all visit www.iovgaming.net Cheers!

You might want to give a link to your facebook page as facebook.com/Starcraft2north does not work.
I don't see many people sending you money without a website to show some sort of organization.

It sounds like fun. But I can't help being a little pessimistic if the people running it can't even spell tournament properly.
The large entry fee deters me (it's $40 on facebook), and I don't know how professional you guys are to pay-in-advance (it could flop). You're announcing this tournament, but haven't even gone into specifics yet about the events or raffles. Tournament rules aren't established yet either (double or single-elimination, bo3?). How many players are you accepting? Is it at night or in the day? (time on the 20th and 21st?) Where can we see the registered list of players? Also your Facebook page actually has less information on the tournament than your TL post. (Also conflicting dates? Here it says 20th and 21st, whereas on your Facebook page/poster it says 20th exclusively). Shouldn't you post on TL when you have all these details setup?
I'm not a high level player so why waste $40, only to have it paid out to the top 3 players. Right now your post only appeals to players at the high levels, rather than the whole SC2 community in the Greater Toronto Area (which is large). It seems like you guys are more focused on making an event that seems professional based on prize money alone. Alsol the Top 8 spots qualify for your Starcraft 2 Amateur League, but we get no info on this at all.
Personally I think some of the better/professional players would like more players to show up and have fun, than get a little more prize money. Why compete against the same 20 players, when you can get a big field of players to show up which could only help support more tournaments for the future. Having a large player pool is also beneficial for future sponsors, as well as the netcafe sponsoring this event.

i apologies for confusing information i was stated before we have made mistake we are new at this and we're trying to rectify all problems. We do have rules and regulations for the tournament we just have been e-mail them to people who are interested in joining the tournament until our website is up and running. we apologies for the price discrepancy as we said before we didn't know that it was a lot when we first put it up and we have now reduced it to 20 . We are happy to answer any questions u may have that the e-mail doesn't answer. We also apologies if they're any typo's in anything we post , we are only human after all.
Thank you for your criticism hopefully we can attract to our next tournament when we have a little more experience.
