Saturday, August 6th, Doors open @ 11AM. Players will have until 1PM to sign up, then the brackets will be closed.

What's NEW?!: To accommodate players who wish to bring their own computer.
Game-Lan is charging a $2 set-up fee for players bringing their own computers to pay for extra staffing.
Players are not allowed to plug or unplug video cable. Please ask one of our friendly staff members for assistance.
Personal mouse, keyboards and headsets are welcome.
Please post here if people are planning to bring your own set-up.

Lan Prizes: Lan center has decided to give their own special prizes. (Sorry, no spoilers but from what I heard, it's going to be real great prizes) You SC2 players will not be disappointed of what the prizes Game-LAN has to offer! (HINT: DOOR PRIZES, and a RAFFLE!)

Players will Veto each map 1 by 1 until 1 is left, Loser picks next map.
Complements would be made so that people can bring their gear and install their drivers.
The Lan center will be BBQing for all guests. Tents and outdoor seating will be available.
There will be some live music (don’t worry music wont be loud enough to disturb players). DJ Hybrid may be making a surprise appearance.
Parking will be at the lan center, and across the street at Pizza Mania! Fun event to get to know all sorts of players!
We are hoping to expect 40+ The lan will have a flat screen TV on the wall to show players the current bracket. Also possible casting(Looking for who ever feels like casting).
Feel free to post questions on thread, and for previous attenders, let us know what we could do better this time to satisfy you guys.

haha people will definately do it, but because of issues of cables and wiring, the lan is charging a 2 dollar set up fee, sorry! woo some familiar people coming =], 15 dollar, 5 dollar for venue, 10 dollar for prize pool.

I'll talk to Game-lan to see if we can change this to a week ahead, i've talked to the verizon tourney and unfortunately it was unintentional and their sponsors are not willing to change, so i'll see what i can do guys =].
And yes you can register at the place, but it'll be nice to see postings here so we can get a estimate of how many chairs we should bring for the outside seatting for the bbq and the Live DJ.

yes it is confirmed, august 6th is a week after MLG. so that way people can attend Chinos tourney, MLG anaheim, then be ready for Game-LAN in whittier!

I'll try to talk to the guys at Game-LAN I think they might do somethign for the contenders, but from what I remember it was like 3-5 bucks and it comes with a burger or hotdog with chips and drinks =]

Verizon Open had 45 competitors and about 2-3 dozen spectators, so I expect about similar numbers for this one.
