Yeah, Sheth didn't harass with Mutas at all till late in the game. And it allowed San to get up his 3rd.

He already had +2 melee and OL speed. If he tried to tech to infestors/hydra san would have a timing to attack him.

Sheth also stopped with the upgrades after +2 attack for both mutas and lings. When you have 30+ mutas I think it makes sense to drop flyer carapace on them too.

Honestly, I don't know how you beat blink stalkers on that map as Z. Bane bombs aren't that great, mutas obviously can't do it. To many choke points ultras/lings to get held at. Hydras maybe, but I don't know that hydras would beat stalkers which get blinked correctly without having a surround.

If he's going to tech mutas, I think he had to try to harass when San first took control of the middle of the map. There weren't cannons in the mineral line of San's natural but the mutas never poked in. Infestors are safer imo, and much better with the sling/bling comp against blink stalkers.

Even with that botched baneling drop engagement, Sheth was not ahead or in control. As soon as San continues to make that mass stalker ball, you need infestors and proactive map control the game. Call it nerves but its no excuse given Sheth experience with playing at MLG and other audience events.
