Roach/Hydra/Infestor isn't a good counter to Colossi. Not only that, he got all of his tech choices in both games too late, and didn't get a sizable amount of Corruptors to take out the Colossi. You can't go straight to BL's or he'll get too many Colossi and roll your ground army even if you Fungal. Proper amount of Corruptors lets Infestors really shine.

Seriously this bitching needs to stop and we need to actually just get back to enjoying the tournament. Blink Stalkers aren't too good, they aren't an all-around unit, they do have plenty of counters, Zerg aren't magically UP all of a sudden. The fact is that XLord didn't play well enough to face HuK and many of the top Zergs in the world have handled that Protoss composition easily. Stop bitching every time any Zerg in the world loses. There are plenty of ways XLord could've improved.

Yeah, stalkers really aren't an all-around unit, specially considering how players like hongunprime go for stalker only in every single game against zerg.

Off the top of my head, speed bane/infestor/ling works really nicely. The fact is instead of banking 3000+/2000+ you just morph a ton of banes, fungal and roll in, remax on lings. the stalkers are grouped as all hell, take damage from the fungal (so fewer banes required) and if they do manage a clinch blink the colossi are exposed. A few ultras can be very handy to absorb a volley or two and, if they connect, do a lot of damage.

Broodlords are not the solution to blink stalkers, roaches suck in the late game because of their 2 supply and hydras die way too fast to colossi. The infestors need a unit that can take advantage of the (now shorter) fungal which makes the fast melee units good.

On top of that banelings are amazing for their supply, each roach there can be 4 rolly pollies (banked money means that it is just down to supply). Banes also get better against stalkers as upgrades go up because they get 2 attack whereas stalkers only get 1 armor per upgrade.

Note as well that going for melee upgrades helps Zerg tier 1, tier 1.5 (banes) and both tier 3 units whereas the ranged upgrades on help the roaches (which suck late game) and hydras (which get rolled by colossi) so getting those ranged upgrades means you really need to end it in the midgame.
