It's also very hard to qualify for the GSL, and that's just to get into Code A, the tournament division that gives barely any money for winning it. A player can be very unlucky in the GSL Qualifiers, and it's also another reason why I feel that single elimination tournaments do not truly test the skill of a player. Consider this, in order to qualify for Code A, you either have to: A) Go through the open qualification tournament where you'll face a load of tough Korean and a few foreign players whom try to enter the tourney. B) Reach 2nd - 4th place in a Major League Gaming event.

Yeah, he sort of leeches off his WC3 star power. But damn does he make the most of his opportunities. Beating the likes of July, Squirtle and Bomber at IEM, MLG and Dreamhack. It only starts in MLG Anaheim onwards. HOWEVER (and this is pure speculation at the moment), given the flexibility that GOM has chosen to exercise by pushing Naniwa and Thorzain's Code A seeds to GSL August, it could be possibility that the seed may end up with MMA eventually. I make this speculation because MLG Anaheim ends one week before GSL August is scheduled to begin, and I don't think it'll give the winner sufficient time to prepare to head over, which means there will be a spare spot in Code S next season. Gom's very flexible with this, so it'll be interesting to see.

I also remember HuK saying that he was one of the top protoss in the world along with MC when someone asked on his twitter account. oGs hwaiting! Hero is good, but what is HuK going to say? Of course HuK is going to compliment his oGs teammates...

I notice "Hopetorture" on there, guess Rainbow decided to change his name back? Weird, at least Artosis will have something to complain about while casting his games.

As for the ID change, GSL is pretty prone to confirming IDs a bit later (MMA used to be known as M for one game then they changed it to MMA). I'm alright with Hopetorture though, maybe since he did extremely well with that ID he's decided to change it back? Lol.

I think Sheth will make it to the up/down matches, but getting past Puzzle is really going to be tough... that should be a GREAT series! I think the final 8 guys will be something like this: oGsJ IMYoda CheckPrime/oGsHero SlayerS_Ryung oGsTheWinD FXOSheth/NEXPuzzle IMHappy SlayerSBoxeR with Ryung pulling off the upset and winning it all ![]()
