Yeah, this may be the only major flaw of DreamHack... BYOC winners will have nearly no rest time before tomorrow (considering the loser bracket is far from being ended...).

This is not meant as a flame or anything; rather, it is an honest question -- what's wrong with Tyler? Where are the results? Is he playing poorly or are his opponents simply playing better? Tyler seems like an articulate and cool dude; his BW pedigree speaks for itself, so where are the SC2 results?

Sarens is one of the 2 BYOC winners. He now has to wait a few hours for the LB to finish before being allowed to sleep...

There were no time to warm up before any of the games, we only had time to do our settings and then jump right in the game, even at those times we were ahead of schedule.

The only break we had was on the first day, friday, for around 1 hour. There were no breaks on Saturday or Sunday so I couldn't even eat. All i had on Sunday was french fries which i bought right after one of my games at the food court just outside the hall, and even then I was told that I was late when i returned.

At the last day, Sunday, i bought a lot of water and had in my backpack so that made it a lot easier, and made me actually able to play good on that day.

Some guys that have been at other MLGs told me that it was the worst MLG so far, organization-wise.

The seeded players had it better, they had computers to play on, places to sit and water and food inside the venue. Of course it's understandable that they can't do that for everyone in the open bracket, so I'm not complaining about that.

That's why I probably won't go to MLG Anaheim unless I'm seeded.

Yikes. That's hardly fair, but I don't see any solution unless they'd be willing to start the BYOC a day early or something...

Watching him play, it's clear that he decided his whole course of action before he landed in Sweden. He doesn't care what his opponent is doing- rather, he just does the "build" that he came up with regardless.

I don't know how BW is played, but you must play a more reactionary style in SC2, imo.
All your teeth should fall out and hair should grow in their place!

I think it was asked many times, but i REALLY can't search through 575 pages: What about Idra and Grubby? They have the same points. Will there be an additional match between them? On the offizial page (http://dreamhack.binarybeast.com/xSC21106162) Grubby is listed as second place.

So close to being Grubby's first big tourney showing. He did beat TLO and get I think 3rd in that one European tournament not too long ago. 1 point and only 1 point stopped him from tieing Idra in his group. He took down Kas' TvP.... Grubby is only going to continue to improve and I think will soon be a top protoss contender. Really disappointing he couldn't make it further in this one but the results are still positive in my view. He has a lot to hang his hat on getting to tie idra in matches in clearly a very tough and closely matched group.


OH SWEET as I'm typing this Grubby Vs Idra (top 3 fav's along with Huk and his top 3 control (SRSLY HE IS)) is up on Day9's archives ^^

eh he didn't play that well

honestly, considering how good that group was i (and many others in this thread) were disappointed with most of the games from that group

we were very impressed by sase who managed to demolish everyone (including idra) in his path

but everyone else was just meh, not even idra really deserves to advance considering the way he played today, compared to how the people that advanced from other groups played

Is grubby advancing or Idra? I hope it's Idra it says grubby on the results page but Idra beat grubby in his bo3 ...
