Thorzain, Jinro, Happy, Bomber all are very likely to advance. And then there are a few (sjow, tarson) that could sneak in.

The three Zergs who managed to advance were more or less those who were estimated to be the top foreigner Zergs; Morrow was the only big upset there, I think. And of the Protoss, I think only SaSe was a surprise.

If grubby wins they will both have a +1 roundscore indeed. Should be rematch or idra win on head-to-head. That's up too Dreamhack tho Cointoss Haha! Did Grubby win 2-0 or 2-1? Because if he won 2-0 he should be second in the group, right? Same amount of points as Idra, but with a +2 avg instead of +1. Hes still playing, and even if he wins 2-1 and ties with Idra, Idra advances due to him beating Grubby in their match. The standings are by: Win Points, Games Won, then Head to Head. ("The seed will be decided by won matches, won games and who won the group stage match between possibly tied players.") Now, The game differential between Idra & Grubby will be the same if Grubby wins. But, Idra actually won a lot more games, so I don't know which they'll be using. (I'm guessing it's more clear in the Swedish). If they're the same, Idra goes on. If Grubby is some how higher, though he won less games, Grubby would go on, but I can't see a way to make that work. Idra has the head-to-head victory to break the tie in a Game Differential situation. If I'm not mistaken, in NASL the player that lost the fewer maps advances (that is in case of a tie), and it's not the only tournament where I saw this. So Grubby can still advance? :O

Haha no kidding. Peoples opinion on Protoss would be so radically different if MC never played Protoss. Lol and what about both Naniwa and Sase going 5-0 (10-1)? To be fair they both had an easier group than MC. That's very debatable... Come on, be fair. Nani had an opponents only in Ret and Strelok. Jimpo is good but not top level, Moman isnt a threat and lolTyler this aint no BW, someone new to the scene might even wonder if hes in Master league. SaSe is underrated, for one i actually expected him to place first although not to roflstomp everyone so hard. He has contenders in Kas and Idra, while Naama isnt as good as he was(his like European QXC), Grubby was never good in SC2 and Merz isnt that level. Have to say that this group really surprised me alot, specially Kas with his terrible performances after his games against Naama. MC on the other hand had in his group Sen, THE best foreign zerg, Cloud to whom he is down 2-0 in their meetings and who is a very strong high apm top terran player. Adel is good, not the top protoss but still good, and we know PvP can go either way, and Adel did manage to take a game of MC. TT1 is a little worse than Adel but still good enough to take games off MC in PvP if MC isnt careful. Naugrim as expected went 0-5 but he did cause more trouble to MC than anyone else in the group. So yeah, MC had a harder group no matter how you want to look at it.

Turns out there are hidden gems on the EU ladder that are still unknown by a lot of the world. hrm? I think most people expected it to be a shoot out between Idra, Kas, and Sase. It just ended up being a clusterfuck because Kas had a terrible day and Idra played poorly too. Merz, Naama, and Grubby aren't gems at least, just solid second tier players. Unless you mean Sase, but he's hardly hidden xD To non europeans he might be I watch a lot of SC2 and Only naniwa/whitera/hasuobs/socke I have seen play a lot. Sase is really high in ELO, meaning he plays a lot of small european tourneys I guess? He was unknown for me and very surprising xD
