I tried to get him. I was on the IRC chat for 10 minutes trying to get someone's attention. I had Thorzain try to get him, and he didn't log on. I did everything I could, he was sitting on take's couch casting games.

It's not NASL's responsibility to make sure Dimaga is there on time, Thorzain had no problem making it. And 45 minutes is a long time, this isn't Dimaga finishing up a cast and making it to the game, this is Dimaga totally ignoring the game/rules.

I don't know what's wrong with NA tournaments, but every big tournament, players have to pay a certain amount of money to participate. How is this helping esport? This is more like greedy business than an esport competition.
Just look at EU and KR tournaments. Everything is free. GSL doesn't cost a penny to spectate or participate, and they even have free Coke drink and sometimes pizza.
This is just funny. It reminds me of those internet scam where you participate in a survey and at the end they ask for your credit card number. GSL doesn't cost a penny? It's costs money to see a whole series of VODS, not to mention only able to view it in SQ.

Dimaga sucked toshow late, but a tweet @teamliquid, a post in the TL HSC live report thread and Dimaga would've be notified in the next 5 minutes. But it's still Dimaga's fault, I mean, Thorzain managed to play.
Guys, Thorzain was in the NASL chat in SCII. He said he went and told Dimaga (as well as Tod and Demu) and that he would be here. 5 minutes later Tod and Demu showed. Dimaga didn't.
Xeris even yelled at him in the stream irc that someone needed to tell Dimaga to go play and Thorzain said he told him.
Dimaga didn't show up.
Look I get it you're mad but what else do you want done? He was INFORMED and he knew what was going on. It's not like this was some secret to him and we were just not reminding him.

If you don't pay the fee, it's SQ and no VODS. If you pay, you get HQ and VODS; as well as GSL.

It's a very special case when 24k+ people on TL are watching Dimaga live and he's DQ'ed for missing in action. Ofc it's his responsibility to be there, but if there was ever a time for an organizer to get a hold of someone missing this was it.

We tried, I don't want to clutter this thread with a repeat post so just look a few posts up and I explained the situation. Essentially people were trying to get Dimaga.

I tried to get ahold of him. We finally got Thorzain 25 minutes late and he said "Dimaga will be here in 5", and 20 minutes later he still wasn't online. Can't hold up the tournament for 1 guy, unfortuantely.

did you even read what people said?
NASL got some people to notify Dimaga and he didnt show up. It was Dimaga's fault.

When Dimaga was informed he stood up straight away and said he had to go play NASL, he came back about 10 minutes later and said he got DQ'ed.

Who are those koreanssss I'm getting scared
edit: woops I saw who they are a few pages back. Still scary they are ALL winning tho ^^

Dimaga's match time as 1pmest. I was watching the Homestory stream at like 12:50ish right when the Jinro/Moman series ended and he said he didn't have anything to do and would cast another one. His fault. Then Thorzain and ToD told him he had a match 30 something minutes later, still didn't show. He could have easily gotten up from TaKe's couch(There were 2+ other people casting anyways so It would've been fine for him to leave) and played a game. I don't see how you can blame NASL for this :/
